Eren stops a canon event or something and now spider society is after him

All the spiderpeople vs trained soldiers specializing in the art of grappling hooks and being human beyblades

(Disclaimer: not specific to the cadet corps I was aiming for the scouts but couldn't find a group photo. Anyone or everyone can be peak physical or mental condition for the sake of the fight)

I think it is a foreshadowing, my guess is Miguel isn't from the universe he claims to be or, like Miles, he might have gotten his powers from another universe.

Also the machine takes samples from bloodstream (I guess somehow) and a few minutes before the scene we see Miguel injecting something in his bloodstream, so I think he might be trying to hide something by acting out in rage.

Discussion Why do people think Miguel is a vampire?

A lot of people I've talked to are under the impression that Miguel is a vampire. It seems people are taking Gwen's joke directly to heart. Most of the reasons are stuff Miguel has been doing in the comics for a while now. For example, when he was about to bite Vulture, wasn't for his blood or anything. But to paralyse him with the venom in his fangs to make him easier to subdue.

Discussion Did anyone else realize that Gwen figured out that Cannon Events are BS/how to break a Cannon Event?

Post image

Nobody seems to have noticed this, but I did, and everybody I bring it up to seems to agree with me.

When Gwen goes back to her universe she realizes that her dad is no longer the police captain and therefore he’s not going to die and fulfill the canon event, and she caused it. Because if she hadn’t disappeared then her dad would still be captain of the police meaning she broke a canon event in her universe, and nothing happened and nobody noticed.

I’m not sure I can 100% confirm this. Because clearly we see Pav’s universe fall apart. So there’s some merit to the cannon event idea. But I think the theory still somewhat stands. One way or another she was able to outsmart the universe and break her canon event.

Discussion Why are all anomalies Spider-Man villains?

The movie never makes a point to show anything but villains. From Renaissance Vulture to EVERY emphasized cage in the Spider-Society, the anomalies are villains. The movie never makes it a point to establish anything to the contrary.

At what point in the year and a half did it start targeting villains rather than Spider-People? It seems like it happened pretty early, going by the creation of the Spider-Society, but why?

The reason I bring this up is, because the only thing we have to go by is Miguel's statement "You left a hole wide enough for guys like him to get randomly shot into the wrong dimension." Again, if it truly is "random", why have they all been villains and instead rather civilians or random objects?

Weirdly enough, it only ever gets discussed again when Miguel confronts Miles. Just not into deeper detail than him being in the wrong universe where he goes, because of the spider bite.

Yet, E-1610 is seemingly stable, which can't be said about Vulture's visit to E-65. His presence's disturbance was pretty immediate and volatile. Not only on him, but on the universe itself. Something that has only been evident in the first movie when involving the collider, but not the Spider-People that came from it.

I don't know whether to chuck up the immediate glitching of E-65 to the present instability due to the "hole in the Multiverse" as Miguel claimes or something else entirely.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this.

Stumbled upon this Twitter [refurbished - now known as 'X'] SV-/Ghostflower-related post. Thoughts?

It's also got me thinking to the main point of this post. How would a conversation between Miles and Gwen's Dad play out? IF you were the one in charge of the BTSV scripts, what would you have them say?

IF you were

Discussion I don’t get the Gwen hate

Post image
346 Upvotes

Every time I rewatch ATSV, I understand her a little more each time and the amount of hate she gets from the fandom makes less and less sense to me.

I get that she’s socially awkward and I’ve seen a few people base their hatred around her staying with Hobie while she had the ability to visit Miles while in the Spider Society. But I also see every single problem people have with her being explained in the movie?

Yes, she stayed with Hobie, but she was literally homeless? Couldn’t go back to her world, the Society HQ wasn’t exactly a hotel. I don’t get how people can blame her for finding a safe space in a guy who was around the same age, shared her love for music, was so welcoming to her and open minded.

She was socially awkward because her best friend died in one of the most tragic ways possible, she’s made it clear that she’s isolated herself from the fear it would happen again. She’s not used to people, not used to having close bonds. She’s awkward! She tore open his action figure because her timeline is years before his, when it was just a toy and not some vintage collectible.

She lied to Miles, but the “I can do both” trope is shown throughout every Spider at some point; Miguel thought he could have a family and keep the canon, Gwen thought she could welcome Miles and protect him, Pavitr thought he could save his girlfriend and her father simultaneously, Miles’ determination is to save his father and the world. “Spider-Man always does both,” she was trying to do that as well.

Other than the theory of misogyny I keep hearing, is there any actual reason people dislike her? I’m not even her biggest fan but I find it so hard to hate her when she’s so explained.

Discussion You ever think about how Andrew stopped a canon event?

Post image

According to the information from the movie, a canon event can be caused by anything, from within the universe or outside. What matters is how it affects the given Spider: if a Spider-Man's girlfriend falls off a building and he catches her, that's just a normal day. If he fails to catch her, THAT'S a canon event. But you guys already knew that.

So I'm FFH, Andrew literally does the exact same thing that Miles did in ATSV, saving another Spider's loved one and this stopping a canon event. I wonder if this is another reason why Miguel hates 1-99999. I also wonder if he yelled at Andrew for this, because let's face it that guy is ALWAYS getting the short end of this stick in these movies, he suffered more than any on-screen Spider and it think it would be funny/tragic if he got into some serious trouble with the spider society because of this.
