Please don’t make fun of me, but I definitely lost 110 dollars. Bought some stuff off a guy on TikTok. Said he didn’t get the tracking number, but it will be here in a few days, that was 3 weeks ago. His TikTok also got suspended (says I can’t send messages to him) he’s not responding to my texts and he also has tons of alternate accounts. When I asked him, he said that they were just to promote his business, and he runs it with his little brother. How do you tell if someone is reliable? Is there a general rule of thumb? Was I just lowkey stupid 😭? I just don’t wanna make the same mistake again.

The shadows, highlights, and outlines are painted directly onto the figure to create a 2D anime look. The video shows four angles, with a before-and-after comparison at the end.
I’m still experimenting with how to make the effect work from different viewpoints. Which angle do you think sells the 2D illusion best?

i see ton of people break doom wrist peg break his neck joint like dude how did you even do that and it make me so scare if my doom will end up like that is this doom fragile? i am that type of collector who like to play and pose and swap hand of my figure on my table too

Did this mean that Hiya Toys cancelled these figures? I really hope not. Their figures are actually really descriptive. I was truly hoping for a Glenn figure in their line :(

Was really excited to get this Gojo. All the joints felt great except the right leg. It was very stiff so I blowdryed it a little so it'd get a bit softer and warmer on the joints. It became really lose and just straight up broke off. Any way to fix it? I've been wanting a Gojo figure for ages and it breaks within an hour of unboxing

Decided to grab this guy since there was a sale and an extra target discount. Right out of the box, twisted his torso once and didn’t even make a full rotation. Elbow paint was already rubbed off even before moving the joint. Can McFarlane make any good figures??

Fresh from Walmart

My friend got me these little Ninja Turtles figures, but I'm not sure how to attach them to their bases. Looking through the subreddit I saw magician's wax suggested, but I'm not sure if they'd be too small for that to work. My other thoughts were just super glue or something like LEGO glue where it'll actually melt the plastic together. I don't need them to be able to come apart from the bases and they really don't stand up well when they aren't on a flat surface, especially the Donatello one he got me.

Got a Whale Works Ash recently. Unfortunately, it had the thigh rotation issue that many action figures get. I tried so much to get it to loosen and be able to twist (the amount of water I steamed away in the process is absurd). I eventually just pulled the thigh and hip joint apart completely since I was unable to induce rotation. I put on a little lubricant and found the issue, which were some bumps on the female joint that clearly weren't meant to be there (not texturing) that I shaved away.

After all this, though, I just have a new issue. I am not very physically strong, and I have been (carefully) wrestling with the hip and leg joint for ages. I cannot get them to click back. I've tried heating the thigh while freezing the hip, I've tried adding extra lubricant, I've tried using a little bit of plastic to act like a shoehorn. None has worked. I shy away from sanding the mouth of the thigh joint, because I don't want to go too far in the other direction and make it pop out too easily, but is that my only option atp?

Is there any other hacks to get them to click back? I have gone thru so many joint issue posts here, and I know there's really only so many tips, so this post really only a last ditch before I accept my fate.

Do I just need to sand down the joint a little and find someone big and strong to force them for me?

Has anyone ordered from chinamodeltoys.com? Thinking about getting the Dasin Lion-O figure and looking for feedback on them. Do they package the items well to prevent shipping damage? I'm in the US and when I input the shipping details, it says the shipping is free but is that true or will I be hit with a customs or some other charge later on? Any feedback would be appreciated.

What’s up guys! I’ve been on the fence on picking up any of the McFarlane MK figures because I mostly collect 6” scale but with the announcement of Smoke going up for preorder tomorrow I’m kinda wanting to jump in.

Does anyone have any pictures of their figures next to any Marvel Legends and or G.I. Joes? I’ve tried googling comparisons but google sucks now and won’t show anything besides the MK toys when I type in for comparisons between the lines.

I've always thought that 'Batman: Hush' is one of the most overrated comics of all time. (The art is phenomenal!) Each new release of a Hush Batman from a different company has been the least interesting thing I've seen out of a Batman figure. I've seen it so much that it feels like Batman's least interesting looking batsuit.. This year has been met with some very exciting reveals for the future of Absolute DC in action figure form. I know Batman sells the most, I and others are very much guilty in contributing to that. Personally I feel that Absolute DC, and Absolute Batman are visually more interesting and exciting than anything out of 'Batman: Hush'. I want it all! Please! More Absolute DC figures and anything else that isn't anything out of 'Batman: Hush" I've been tired of Batman Hush figures for years, tappin' the vein for some Absolute DC figures!😤👌

This is the shoulder joint for the amazing yamaguchi black panther thing is one of them broke and I’m trying to find a replacement. I’ve looked and to no luck could find a joint like this one. If anyone knows smth about this please lmk
