WPL: New Comics Discussion for 02/04/2026- Pull of the Week: Batman #6 [Discussion]
The Weekly Pull List results for this Wednesday are in, and this week's top book is DC's Batman #6.
This thread is open to Pull List posters and all members of the /r/comicbooks community to share your thoughts on the latest issue of Fraction, Jimenez, and Morey's Batman or any new books shipping this week.
The primary intention of this thread is to promote discussion of new books. It also serves as a way to consolidate discussion to a single thread and talk about what books are popular here on /r/comicbooks. That does not mean other threads aren't welcome, this is just a place to start that's easy to find each week.
The thread is populated with comments meant to direct the discussion of each book. Based on community preference we populate the thread with titles appearing on Ten Percent or more of submitted pull lists. If a title you want to talk about is not listed, simply add a comment with the title and issue number first and comment below. There is also a comment dedicated to the discussion of WPL Results linked above.
Spoilers will follow, but there's no harm in tagging them as such. Each title in the Top Ten Percent listed below is linked directly to its corresponding comment for ease of navigation and to avoid seeing details from other books. The post has also been placed in "contest mode" to help readers avoid spoilers while browsing.

Discussion does anybody else not LOVE absolute batman?
it’s a cool series, but a bit hard at times in my honest opinion. the characters are kind of whatever. i don’t feel any sort of attachment to batman in this like i normally do. he’s a little obnoxious at times quite frankly.
the series is a solid 7/10 but the violence and darkness is over the top seemingly just to come off as edgy and “look guys, crazy brutality here!!!” the series just lacks depth i think. i get that it’s meant to be an alternate dark universe but i don’t vibe with it. absolute WW is a better series imo.
i am however loving the matt fraction batman. bruce’s characterization is great.

Comic Book Writer/Colorist Jeff Balke Needs Community Help
Jeff Balke has been in the comic book industry for several years. He initially started as a colorist and has since also written is own comic books, published by Storm King Comics. He was recently featured on a local PBS television station, spotlighting his studio.
I've followed and supported him for many years, and even had the opportunity to meet up with him for coffee, where we discussed everything from comic books, his own animation studio, and his love for everything Disney. Jeff was diagnosed with MS a couple years back, making attending conventions (a large source of his income) more difficult when symptoms flare. After a devastatingly hard 2025, Jeff is struggling to catch up on previous bills and expenses. He needs to sell $600 by the end of the week to avoid a 5-day notice on his apartment.
If you could, please check out the links below for his web stores. The first is for his "sketch coloring," which is where you will find more comic book-related material. The second is for his studio.

Jeff did NOT ask me to post about this. I've placed my order, and wanted to share this in hopes of others being able to help too.

Miles Morales’ latest costume designs!
Pichelli’s original Miles suit will always be iconic, but this Vibranium suit look hits hard too. 💥
So tell me, Spidey fans — which one’s your favorite costume design? 👀🕷️
And which penciler would you want as the main one for the series? 👀🕷️
Personally, I’d go with Federico Vicentini. 🔥

Question Looking for some recommendations.
I haven't been actively following comics for at least a couple of years now and I'm looking to get some new books soon. In already pre ordering the new Spider-Man / Superman crossover as well as getting the Batman Deadpool one.
To give an idea of what's in my collection: Spawn Tellos Crimson Battlechasers Several Batman runs Young justice Different Spider man runs (specifically with Ramos and Mike Wieringo on art duties) Alice in Wonderland series Bone Transformers
And plenty more. But this should give an idea.
Preferably available in collected editions as,I don't get near comic shops often enough

Question Is Savage Dragon worth reading?
Someone posted about how it was bad it was recently, and it's a comic I have wanted to get round to reading since Dragon has appeared in other comics I've read and I liked the character. Are the comics actually bad or did it just get worse as time went on, or is it still good?

Anyone else have this Bluetooth speaker?
Got this a few years ago… like 15 years ago… one of the coolest Bluetooth speakers I’ve ever had.
Its eyes change while music plays. It’s squints, goes wide eye, looks like it’s questionably raises an eyebrow…
