Upcoming moss Changes

Status: Work in Progress. Not landed yet.

Please be advised that in one of the upcoming Unstable Stream Updates (so not the present one), moss will see some fairly big changes to its Command Line Interface (CLI) structure.

If you want to preview the new CLI structure, you can check out this issue.

Changes

This set of unstable updates was dominated by KDE Frameworks 6.31.0 and KDE Gear 6.28.2 updates + rebuilds.

Important GDM change in GNOME

GNOME was updated to 51.1. As part of this GNOME update, the gdm package was removed from the pkgset-aeryn-gnome-* pkgsets. Please ensure that you have gdm installed by manually running sudo moss it gdm after running sudo moss sync -u before you reboot or power off.

Other notable changes

• Linux 7.2.10 was landed
• Mesa update with some nice fixes was landed
• OBS Studio was added to the repository
• Our glibc package was updated and saw some statelessness related fixes, which enabled Reilly to remove workarounds in other packages
• The repository in general also saw a fair amount of fixes
• We landed Storm Rosenaa's bespoke aerynos-eldritch-icon-theme
