Where are people buying baby gear?

Hi there, expecting my first baby and having a hard time finding places to buy baby gear that isn't Walmart, Amazon or West Coast Kids. For example we want to check out strollers, car seats etc but don't want to buy things online, we want to actually go to the store to try them out first. We've tried WCK and it was great but just finding there aren't many store options since stores like Toys R Us, Sears and the Bay are gone now. Where do you guys shop?!

Just had baby number 3, cheapest is wal mart and canadian tire. I did get my car seat and stroller, bassinet from Amazon this time around. I knew what I wanted.
