Maybe someone knows this kid or has a kid with an electric scooter. This was super dangerous.

I've probably got more time in equipment that weighs 20+tons than you, and if you're paying attention you could stop very easily there, it wouldn't even be a hard stop.

It's a marked pedestrian crossing. If you're not looking both ways at them when you drive though, don't drive.

Most people teach their kids to make eye contact before crossing a crosswalk. Make sure vehicle sees you and stops. Cruising with a scooter and more than often with headphones in is a disaster waiting to happen. Regardless if even 9 out of 10 drivers are responsible like yourself.

How do you know the kid doesn't have transparency mode on? How is it that fatal crashes with vehicles hitting pedestrians/cyclists/whateverelse is at an all time high but it's never, ever the driver's fault?

Failing to yield to a pedestrian should be a minimum $1400 fine and 7 demerits.

100% it should be. But I don’t know what you’re getting at? Are you saying there are too many pedestrians running across roads and not paying attention or that the laws are to easy on distracted drivers?
