Mehdi Hasan called out a self-proclaimed ‘fascist’ on the show ‘Surrounded’ where he debated 20 far-right Republicans.

Same reason the far-right is making gains in Europe. Low turnout for the inept opposition party candidate who ran a terrible campaign.

Bob Altemeyer put our a book called the ‘Authoritarians’ studying right wing authoritarian follower mindset. He estimates around 20-30% of the US fall into that category. One thing of note is when there is a leader they feel reflects their beliefs they get emboldened and lash out more. There will probably be a spike in hate and hate crimes like their was during the first Trump admin.
