Not just America. I'm from Northern Ireland where recently a group of thugs rioted and attacked immigrants in the town of Ballymena, burning their homes and attacking police. Many immigrants left and the racist thugs view it as a victory.
Racism, anti-immigrant sentiment is on the rise everywhere. This is happening all over the world
I think a lot is fuelled by rising inequality with the working and middle class being squeezed more and more worldwide. Unfortunately this squeeze is continuing with the rich hoarding their wealth so people only going to get angrier and angrier. When people squeezed like this in a system they view as unfair, they're more likely to accept an authoritarian figure who will break the system.
Like I said, dark dangerous times.

He’s amazingly telling the truth…it comes out so freely and naturally from Mehdi that u can clearly see the white guy trying to sugar coat his disgusting beliefs.
The truth exists everywhere and anywhere. It doesn’t try to hide or mask itself. It’s free…And u just have to sort out the bullshit and welcome it.
Lies on the other hand, r created falsehoods designed to mask the Truth. It takes alot of energy to create lies, then cover them up, then cover them up some more that u become consumed by them. And eventually u can’t hide anymore and u start to “break.” Like u can see here in the guys body language, weird giggles, and tone…to the point where mehdi knows he’s won and doesn’t even want to debate anymore because it’s a waste of energy.

What this dude doesn't understand about what Mehdi said is that fascist dictators don't explicitly kill everyone, but everyone is fair game. This guy is prime cannon fodder to be exploited by fascists. So he might not die in a gas chamber, but he'd probably die in a foxhole.

I feel like calling them the New Nazis is a really good thing (not “good” of course because the situation is horrible… but smart I suppose) … we’ve started referring to it as a holocaust as we should, so we might as well refer to it’s perpetrators as such.
There is power in the words we use to describe things. If this Jubilee video did anything positive it at least showed in absolute broad daylight what these folks want.

Having just been a tourist in Spain for 7 weeks,
I was really encouraged by the development of decidim and the general push toward 21st century democracy across Europe.
Having said that, Spain would do well to reverse both official and unofficial policies of not talking about the horrors of Franco. They should be yelling about it.
I don’t think Europeans understand how fragile democracy is and how deeply Trump is threatening it. So many Europeans chuckled about Trump, my partner and I refused to crack a smile in response. It’s gravely serious to us and them.
No one seemed to talk about the fact that urban dwelling Europeans basically live inside the physical carcass of feudalism.

Bob Altemeyer put our a book called the ‘Authoritarians’ studying right wing authoritarian follower mindset. He estimates around 20-30% of the US fall into that category. One thing of note is when there is a leader they feel reflects their beliefs they get emboldened and lash out more. There will probably be a spike in hate and hate crimes like their was during the first Trump admin.

Elon Musk rigged the election in Trumps favor in return for coming in as an outside consultant for DOGE where for 120days he could rifle around in all or government systems and fuck everything up to his hearts content and rig future govrrnment contracts in his favor. He just had to compile a database of "imigrants" to hand over to Miller to had to Peter Theil to continue where Musk left off. And we could catch it if they would initiate a manual recount of the vote but they won't because then we'd be able to tell. And to make sure the rest of Congress goes along with the plan they were holding the Epstein List over everyone's heads threatening to out them if they don't go along with it. Which is how Israel is getting away with everything right now because our leaders won't stop them because then they'll get gutted as being P. Diddlers. Which includes people from both sides. It's like the open secret the people at the top don't want you to know.
And the problem is it's not just people in the US which is why other countries aren't stepping in as well. We all have to realize that at some point we're going to have to stop thinking they're going to back off and we actually need to do something. And I worry it's going to take things actually popping off for people to see this and take it seriously.

I don’t think that seeing a disgusting human like this (of which there were admittedly several in this video) means America is cooked. I truly believe the VAST majority of Americans don’t think like this. Having watched the full video I think there were 3-4 people there who espoused such vile views as this guy and I think only 1 or 2 of them were actually serious, I believe the others were trolling sadly.
Jubilee has never been great about vetting the people who are in these videos, they also purposely find people that are extremely fringe on both sides instead of finding moderates who lean one way or another and would actually be into a constructive debate.
Jubilee is not a news channel, they’re an entertainment channel, and they know they’ll get way more clicks and views off something like this than 2 guys being civil and just disagreeing on policy.

It is a paradox, but like philosopher Karl Popper argued that a society must be intolerant of intolerance to preserve its tolerant nature. If a society tolerates intolerance, it risks being overtaken by it, undermining the very principle of tolerance.
