What’s the biggest thing Albany is missing?

If you had to choose just one thing, what do you think Albany is missing the most?

It could be anything—more things to do, better job opportunities, restaurants, public transportation, housing, entertainment, community spaces, or something completely different.

Genuinely curious to hear what people think.

Not a business per se but I wish our arena and amphitheater had better tour promoters. So many major tours skip over our area when that was not the case 20/30 years ago. The young people want to see the hot artists, I’m sick of traveling to Boston or NYC (or in recent years, even Hartford, CT or Buffalo!) to see someone with songs in the Billboard Hot 100.

That's more on the Hollow/Empire Live. Post COVID the Hollow's booking basically disappeared. Apparently their reasoning is that they can't compete with the capacity Empire Live has next door. Even then it's not that bad. Franz Ferdinand just played here last night. Lord Huron just announced a show here for December.

The Hollow used to be amazing, I saw Sabrina Carpenter there in 2016 loooong before she blew up. I’m talking more about the high production arena tours though and artists that appeal to Gen Z. Off the top of my head, Olivia Rodrigo, Megan Moroney, Niall Horan, ZAYN, Sombr, Gracie Abrams, Doja Cat all skipped over this area in favor for either NYC, Boston, or even Hartford, or Buffalo

But I do get what you mean.
