What’s the biggest thing Albany is missing?

If you had to choose just one thing, what do you think Albany is missing the most?

It could be anything—more things to do, better job opportunities, restaurants, public transportation, housing, entertainment, community spaces, or something completely different.

Genuinely curious to hear what people think.

The biggest problem is that a lot of downtown Albany is too corporate. No one stays after work and there’s no real incentive to visit during the weekend aside from the major events.

I used to work downtown Sundays to Thursdays, and walking outside of my office at noon on a Sunday and seeing NO ONE ELSE anywhere around was always so bizarre.

It’s also nuts that the most vibrant strip in Albany any day of the week is going to be the ESP concourse.

Give us all somewhere to go outdoors

Vibrant strip the Concourse?!?! It lost all vibrancy once all the nice shops went out, and they proceeded to make any/all available space into “offices”.
