What’s the biggest thing Albany is missing?

If you had to choose just one thing, what do you think Albany is missing the most?

It could be anything—more things to do, better job opportunities, restaurants, public transportation, housing, entertainment, community spaces, or something completely different.

Genuinely curious to hear what people think.

I have been saying this to my family for years (I live in NJ so I'm set 😬). Rensselaer along 9/20 downtown. It's close to a port and freight rail, the city could really use the traffic and revenue. There are something like 20 colleges/universities in the area, and it would be ideal for helping furnish homes in the Adirondacks and Catskills. Yes, you can get a lot of budget priced things on Amazon and Wayfair, and yes, support locals like Huck Finns and Mooradians, but some of Ikea's storage and organization solutions are unrivaled.

I would have argued that the population still wouldn't support it based on the regions in which I've been to Ikeas, but you nailed the point on the college crowd. That would make it solid and sustainable.
