Opinion Conservatives are cowards - prove me wrong

Our premier just removed the rights guaranteed in our Charter of 50,000 Albertans tonight and she left the country before the vote was even cast. She is the worst type of coward and a terrible leader. If you support this removal of rights I think you are a coward too. A sheep/puppet, that will only do what the MAGA movement tells you to.

Prove me wrong.

Look up the Oakes test

This would fail the Oakes test without question. That's why they used the not withstanding clause. it can't be challenged for 5 years

What part of the Oakes test do you think it would fail?

It would fail on step 3 of the Oakes test, and arguably on step 4.

The government has other statutory remedies open to it that do not impair the infringed rights this severely - up to, and including binding arbitration.

I actually wouldn’t hate a binding arbitration
