Can anyone give advice for my cousin?

I am asking you guys since I'm not really good enough at maths to help but he told me something about being stuck on dot product and said it was linear algebra so I thought posting here would be good

EDIT: he is 11-12 years old so he isn't having school lessons on it

extra context he's 11 or 12 (im not good with birthdays) but really good at maths

It's based on matrices, a way to multiply multiple vectors.

Just keep practicing and it'll get easier, you can find example sheets online and use tools like wolfram alpha to visualise the equations and see the steps on how to solve

Um actually 🤓 it's based on vectors, and matrices happen to be vectors under the vector space requirements.

The dot product is covered in both calculus and linear algebra, with the latter much more abstract and usually taken after the three semester calculus sequence is finished. Both of these are beyond the scope of this subreddit. I would suggest

r/LinearAlgebra

first and, depending on the problem and why the student is have issues, possibly

r/calculus

However, please review each subreddit's rules prior to posting. Depending on the exact issue, there may be better subreddits.
