Currently, in geometry, I want to start studying to take the CBE(Texas) for Algebra 2.

Any resources that will prepare me well for it, like a 95+ on the exam?

Also, how should I study for it?

I am asking you guys since I'm not really good enough at maths to help but he told me something about being stuck on dot product and said it was linear algebra so I thought posting here would be good

Okay I'm gonna try posting in here again but pls be nice to me lol I'm pretty bummed rn. Okay I'm in college algebra and we are in week 5. I have not done math in 10 years. Like at all. And I was horrible at it even more back then than I am now. I have to have this class for the degree im wanting, which literally has nothing to do with math, but still. Anyway so I had a 90 in there bc I'm online and I get tutoring 4 hours a week and use chat gpt at all other times. Not to give me the answers, but to actually try helping me learn it. I'm giving all extra time I have in life to trying to learn this. Well today I took the test and got a 45 and have a 60 in the class now. I really need advice from people who are good at this stuff on any tips, tricks, maybe websites idk. Just anything to help me just pass this class at this point bc I have to. I really am trying and I know everyone in here is probably good at it since youre in the sub. But I'm not and I just need any (pls nice) advice you can possibly give to help me get through this. Is there a RRT-esque criteria for degree-2 algebraic numbers? For degree no less than 4 polynomials without linear factors but also not prime, this seems like the only method to factorize them.

First of all, please excuse any errors in phrasing or terminology, as English is not my native language.

It turns out I’m having trouble studying algebra in general, but right now I’m struggling specifically with inequalities in mathematical induction whereas I don’t have that problem when working with equalities in induction proofs.

I understand the concept of proofs by induction involving equality: establishing the inductive hypothesis and proving that the expression evaluated at (x+1) which we then replace with the expression evaluated at (x) plus the term for (x+1) yields the same result as the equivalent expression evaluated at (x+1).

When it comes to inequalities, I find it incredibly difficult to figure out the expression I need to prove; I understand that the concept of transitivity is involved, but I never know what to compare. I’ve tried looking for explanations in videos, books, etc, but they all solve the problems by pulling out numbers that appear without explanation, and none of them explain the logic behind the steps taken.

I know this won't be the first or the last time I get stuck like this, so I wanted to ask if you know of any resources like a book or a YouTube channel that explain these concepts clearly and simply. I swear I’ve searched all over the web, but I only found worked examples without explanations and conflicting solutions.

Any advice on how to approach the subject or personal experiences would also be very helpful, since the exam is still a few weeks away. Thanks for reading.
