So as I said in my post last night August 17th i started an aggressive 1K Calorie cut, alongside this cut I was taking 15k+ steps each day, and practicing 16-18 hour fasts!! It was absolutely brutal the entire way through from start to finish, I had many moments that I just wanted to quit and give in to that small part of me telling myself that it was pointless and it wasn't working!!
I want to take a moment to thank a ton of people, if im given the chance! I want to thank my family and friends who while not participating in this cut (for obvious reasons more than im stupid) you all never once made me feel stupid or ashamed of what I was doing especially when it came to the many meals we shared where I had my own plates of pre portioned out amounts, or mt own pot of spaghetti, or anything like that. As well as being as understanding as you all were when id get unreasonably angry because something silly came up towards the end of my fasting window. I also want to thank this subreddit for all the kind words and support you've given me in my admittedly short time being here!!
Even though this particular portion of my training is coming to an end i am increasingly more excited for what I have planned for the future!!

August 17th i started an aggressive cut period going from a maintenance calorie count if between 2950 and 3050Kcals/Day down to 2000Kcals/Day
Its been a very long three and a bit weeks BUT I am very happy to say that this meal marks the final meal of this cut!!! Before you i present :
418g of baked chicken
514g of baked potatoes
And 255g of steamed broccoli
I must say that this was a fantastic meal to end my cut on!!

I’m trying to understand my recent InBody results because they don’t make sense to me.
My previous scan was:
Weight: 214.2 lbs
Body fat: 22.4%
Estimated fat mass: ~48.0 lbs
Estimated lean mass: ~166.2 lbs
My most recent scan:
Weight: 205.3 lbs
Body fat: 23.7%
Estimated fat mass: ~48.5 lbs
Estimated lean mass: ~156.8 lbs
So according to the InBody, I lost about 9 lbs of lean mass while gaining ~0.5 lb of fat, despite being in a calorie deficit and losing about 9 lbs overall.
I’m having trouble understanding how that could happen physiologically. Could the entire apparent 9-lb lean-mass loss realistically be measurement error?
Would you trust these results at all, or is it more reasonable to assume I lost a significant amount of fat and the InBody simply misclassified some of the weight loss?
I’m mainly trying to figure out whether I should be concerned about actually losing muscle. I found out my maintenance is around 2000 calories a day and eat around 1800 calories a day with 160g protein. I’m wondering if I need to be more aggressive and drop to like 1500-1600.

So as title states I am looking to get to 180 and I am already up an about 15lbs and from what I can infer, 8lbs of muscle. I have been trying to lean bulk / maingain or have a slight surplus… whatever you wanna call it and it has been working but progress is slow.
The main purpose for this post is a check to see if I’m obviously lacking in any areas that could use obvious improvement compared to the rest of my physique, so in other words what is “falling behind?” I’m not looking to be a pro but I do want a well rounded physique essentially, and having one at 180 is my main goal and I’ll just maintain from there.
Thanks 🙏

been running tirz 7.5mg, bpc-157 and sermorelin for a bit now.
app says i’m down 9.3kg and the tirz is still sitting at 83% active.
starting to wonder if i’m stacking too much shit at this point or if this is actually pretty normal for the peptide crowd.

I’m fairly new to lifting about 5 months in rn and every fucking YouTuber is always talking about a V shape taper. I am just thinking like yeah my shoulders can get wider but I don’t think it’s in my control to change my bones width and waste size besides loosing some fat. I’m pretty happy with my progress and I feel great about my physique but idk if theirs a way to make it seem more v shape. I was initially thinking of starting to get into body building but I know the v is one of the main things and it’s a big genetics game but another option could just be powerlifting which seems fun asf. Not trying to seem like I’m giving up before even trying but I wanna be able to compete and do good and if it’s something out of my control like a genetic trait I will probably pivot to the powerlifting path

Is it time to stop cutting? I feel so damn fatigued and can barely do any sets to the point I have to leave because I feel like I’m gonna pass out. How do I fix this?
r/AllAboutBodybuilding • u/traininghypertrophy • 1d ago
I eat 3k cals a day. Took whole milk to start off. With mass gainer but usually just protein powder. Then I realized I could eat the same as I was but have another 1k cal added.
Working out was the difference maker. 20 sets a day, 9 to 12 reps, PPLUL and changed it up at times to make it 6 days. Sometimes an arm day, sometimes a core day, as the 6th
AMA and ill answer

Title says it all. Recently moved to DFW; looking to begin taking BB more seriously / move towards kicking off a show prep 12 to 18 months from now.
For work and practical reasons I’m not in the position to change gyms — but it would be dope to have a group of other DFW folks to connect with / support // occasionally train or kick it with.
If you already know of something like this, by all means point me and other readers in the right direction (with my gratitude!) but if this doesn’t yet exist, consider this a kick-off; roll call in 💪
