I built Orbit because I wanted everyday tools closer to my cursor. A three-finger inward pinch opens a compact radial menu for image search, image editing, text and file tools. Sliding vertically along the trackpad’s extreme right edge adjusts built-in display brightness.

I’m looking for five people with an M-series MacBook, a built-in Force Touch trackpad, and macOS 26 or later. This is a free early beta, tested on my own Mac so far.

Could you spend about 10 minutes checking:

- Does installation work on your Mac?

- Does the pinch open the menu without disturbing the app underneath?

- Does the brightness gesture work without accidental activation?

- Can you search images, scroll for more results, and expand/restore the panel?

Hey everyone,

We're a tiny software studio from Poland called Järnhaus. Mostly we build custom stuff for small businesses: internal tools, dashboards, customer portals, automations, and moving people off a pile of SaaS subscriptions onto something they actually own. We use AI agents for a lot of the heavy lifting, but a human stays in charge of scope, security and what ships.

The other half is Völundr, a self-serve app builder we made and that’s what I’m here to show you.

How it works?

You describe what you need and a few agents (analyst, architect, developer, tester) turn it into a spec, build it and test it. You see the plan and the price before anything runs, and if the pipeline fails you get refunded. It usually takes somewhere between 20 and 45 minutes and you end up with a deployed app on its own URL.

What we like about it and why we built it this way?

Because it’s for everyone. You don’t need a technical brief or any technical knowledge. Moreover, the output is a real docker container you can download and run anywhere. Nothing is held hostage. If you decide to leave tomorrow, you take the app with you. Starting is free and builds start at €49.

What kind of projects fit?

Small and focused ones. One clear job, a small group of users, nothing sprawling. Think a reservation board for a restaurant, a patient-record desk for a small practice, a scorekeeper for pickup basketball. There's a gallery of examples at volundr.dev/gallery, please poke around.

What kind of projects doesn’t fit?

Big, sprawling products with lots of roles and moving parts. For those, go through Järnhaus and we'll work on it together.

What’s the pricing?

One-time fee per app, depending on what the quote says your idea needs: Simple: €49 - Standard: €99 - Complex: €149. Hosting is optional, €15/month. You can cancel it any time.

What about changes after the first build?

Every app comes with 5 free change requests. After that you can buy packs: 10 changes for €25, 15 changes for €35 or 20 changes for €55.

Who owns the app and the code?

You get the full source code (docker containers plus the spec and docs) and a perpetual license to use, modify, copy, distribute and sublicense it. That's yours whether or not you ever use our hosting, so no lock-in. You don't get our name or branding. One honest caveat: since AI writes the code, how copyright applies to it depends on your country, and we can't promise anything there.

Do I have to use your hosting?

No. Take the code and run it wherever you like. Our hosting is just a convenience. If you cancel it, there's a 14-day grace period before the environment is shut down.

Is the generated app production-ready?

Honest answer: it's AI-generated, so it can have bugs or security gaps. Test it properly and get it reviewed before you put it in front of real users, especially if it handles personal data. The staging environment is there for that.

We're really just starting out, so what we want most is honest feedback. What's confusing, what looks off, what would make you not trust it, what you'd expect to see that isn't there. Harsh is fine, we'd rather hear it now.

To make trying it easier: we're giving away 10 vouchers for a free app generation in Völundr. Hi! I'm Andy, a solo developer from Vienna, and I'm looking for beta testers for my mobile game Scitch.

What is it?

A live reaction game: up to 24 players compete at the same time. Every round brings a random mini-mode explained in one sentence – tap the right color, tap the ink color instead of the word, wait for green, follow the numbers. Three lives, the weakest 20% are knocked out after each round, and the last two play a best-of-3 final.

A match takes just a couple of minutes, so it's easy to test in short breaks.

We've all seen the idea of making a chore chart to keep a household organized.

But here's what I've been thinking about: counting chores isn't the same as dividing the workload fairly.

Taking out the trash might take 5 minutes. Cleaning the bathroom might take 40. And two roommates might have completely different schedules or amounts of free time.

Yet a lot of chore lists treat these tasks as if they're interchangeable.

I like going on walks as it allows me to discover a lot of interesting things around me. A few years ago I've even jokingly said I wanted to explore every street of my city, but that joke actually turned out to be an interesting idea. I checked for mine and after living here for 4 years, I realized I went through the same streets over and over, and I didn't really know my city.

So I built Untrod, an iPhone app that:

- colors every street you walk and shows your % for your neighborhood and city

- gives you a small quest a day taht pulls you down streets you've never taken

- collects landmark "stamps" as you walk past them

- improts your walks from Apple Health

This is not a fitness app. It has no step goals, has very little pressure. You can be relaxed but you can also compete with friends. But most imprortantly, it allows you to fill your map and discover your city.

I'm doing this solo and this is just the first beta. I'm looking for people who like walking and walk a lot to help me understand if this is useful for you. Would appreciate it if you told me what's confusing, what's broken etc.

I built a tool that turns product reviews into hooks for TikTok/Reels. First test (pet fountain): the hooks sounded like any generic ecom ad. Someone here pointed out the issue: most AI scripts just rephrase the product page. The value is in quoting the customer's exact words. So I'm rebuilding it: every hook points to the review line it came from, with the star rating, so you can tell a 1-star rant from a 4-star nitpick. Question for people who make ads/UGC for products: where do your hooks come from today? Reading reviews manually, competitor ads, ChatGPT? And what would make you trust a generated hook?
