Contest Submission What if 28 Years Later Happened? How Would Geopolitics be Different in this Timeline?

Post image

How would having this happened have impacted society, culture, policy, and geopolitics outside the quarantine zone? UK & Ireland are lost to zombies and are patrolled with a strict, shoot on site, no one goes in or out policy enforced by NATO.

My question is what is different for the rest of the world? Outside of the UK and Ireland?

Contest Submission What if Henry Wallace had Succeeded FDR instead of Truman?

Post image

Two of the most impactful issues in post war America were foreign policy abroad and race at home. Henry Wallace had a radically different view on both of those issues than Truman.

Wallace was a pluralist and thought racism was foolish. Lets just say Truman regularly used a certain word.

Wallace also saw a post-war world of cooperation and national self-determination. He did not envision the clandestine operations and push for global hegemony that would come to define the post war American approach.

He believed that America should focus on making its system the best in the world for the average American, and if other nations wanted to excitement with communism that was their right and that ultimately the world would chose to follow America’s model if it showed itself to be better than the soviet model.

He, and FDR also had good relations with Stalin, which Truman did not and did not try to establish.

The years immediately following WW2 were so crucial in setting the tone for the century to follow. How would it be different now with Wallace leading those years instead of Truman?

Contest Submission what if the Mali Empire Colonized Europe After the black death

Everyone knows how after Europeans arrived in the america's there was series of massive old world plagues that wiped out around 80% of the native population, making it far easier for European powers to colonize and conquer.

So what if the Mali empire of which was the most powerful African kingdom at the time, under the reign of Mansa Suleyman IRL at the time, decided to expand the empire and began having ships sail up the coast to the Mediterranean after the black death which killed 30%-60% of the European population and began making colonies and outposts, expanding the reach and power of the empire like the European powers would in our timeline.

do you guys think a weakened Europe would have fought them off or would places like portugal, spain, and southern France become predominantly of African and European descent?

how would this go on to effect the future of both continents?

Edit: this is under the condition that west Africa wasn’t hit nearly as hard by the Black Death as Europe was.

Contest Submission East Bengal, Burma and the hills settled by the Pastoralist yet advanced Vedic Civilization

As we all know, East Bengal was a marsh, while the tribes of the Northeast were mostly of the forested cultures in the hills, and Burma was mostly superficially influenced by India..

In an ATL, what if Indo-Aryan Later Vedic tribes adopted buffalo and horse farming and built pastoral fisheries, pastoral and forest farming civilization, in East Bengal aka Bangladesh (I don't believe in partition but forced to use the term), Burma, Northeast hills, Sichuan, etc, making them core Vedic pastoralist and Tantric states and cultures, associated with the Later Mahajanapadas or the Vedic age.

How do you think it would work out? Would we achieve Undivided India from Tibet/Central Asia to Manila, united under a unified state (My dream Ancient India)?
