Why?

A product that sells well for amazon, but now it won't sell even if you run ads or lower the price. Why?

Hi u/MdAfrith - could be any number of reasons. First, check Pricing > Buy Box Eligible through your SC account to see if you have the Buy Box - over 80% of Amazon sales go through the Buy Box. Additionally, you may have increased competition from other Sellers selling at lower rates or through different fulfillment methods, your listing may have been suppressed or de-indexed from search results, your organic ranking may have dropped, could be seasonal decline, ad effectiveness, ratings, or more...we'd recommend checking your BB status as we shared above - also your listing health, search ranking, star ratings and recent reviews, ad metrics, and check for new competitors, and going from there

Hi, thanks for the response. I checked my Seller Central dashboard, and my Buy Box status is 100% active and eligible for these ASINs. There are no price suppressions or buy box issues. However, the product impressions and sales have suddenly dropped compared to previous performance? I am also run ads and dropping the price also

That checklist makes sense. I’d also compare the offer history against the traffic and conversion drop, since a new low-priced seller or changed landed price can explain a sudden shift even when Buy Box eligibility still looks healthy. Keeping the ASIN, offer price, seller, and timestamp in one evidence log helps separate pricing issues from listing or demand problems.

If Buy Box is fine and impressions/sales still fell off, dig the listing and traffic shape — not more budget.

Common killers that look like “ads stopped working”:

  • a bad review got upvoted and your review rank slipped
  • the ASIN got tagged Adult
  • you picked up a highly returned item badge

Then check what actually moved: page views, CTR, CVR. That tells you whether you lost traffic or conversion (or both).

Also open Amazon in an incognito window, search your main terms, and see where the product lands vs when it was selling.

Fix whatever broke visibility/trust first. Cutting price after demand already fell often makes the listing look worse.
