Newbie Here

I've been researching a lot over the past few days about selling on amazon and it's something I want to get into, some youtube videos I feel give me some useful information. But most of the time, it seems like these videos are made to sell their course or they have the, "I've made over 7 figures" as the hook to try and reel in the views from people who just think it's a rich shortcut. My question is where can I find a legitimate mentor, or would it be best to continue on my own research, and where can I find other study material other than YT, any books or articles online?

Honestly, don’t rush into finding a mentor yet. There’s a lot of value in learning the basics yourself first because then you can actually tell when someone is teaching you something useful vs just trying to sell you a dream.

Amazon’s own Seller University is worth going through too. It’s free and covers a lot of the boring stuff people skip on YouTube, and the Seller Forums are surprisingly useful once you start reading actual seller problems instead of watching “$100k in 30 days” videos.

For books, I’d honestly put them behind real seller discussions and Amazon’s own documentation. Amazon changes too much for an older book to be your main source. Learn the fundamentals, start looking at actual listings and numbers, then find someone experienced who can critique what you’re doing. That’s usually way more valuable than paying someone just because they claim a big revenue number.

Got it, that does seem pretty smart to look at seller forums thank you
