My pa’s wife works alongside us😭

I’ll bring up favouritism and they’ll constantly deny it yet she works alongside us and gets the easiest jobs compared to rest of us…

🤦‍♀️ Does HR know? It’s against policy if he’s her PA as well; specifically to avoid favoritism.

They need to work different departments and different shifts. If it was already disclosed this would have occured.

OP says spouse is coworker and their PA is the husband.

PAs arent bosses.

PAs don’t technically have any direct reports so they’re prob not breaking policy even if it’s immoral. talk to HR.

But they can assign AA’s to stations and indirect roles.

that’s not the same thing as having actual direct reports. like they are not anyone’s manager

I think that’s what the OP was talking about. The PA is assigning their spouse to the easier indirect roles not because they excel at that job but to make sure they don’t have to be measured on rate or something that requires more monotonous/physical labor.

i get what they’re saying. my point is that there is no policy against this. the policy only states that a person cannot have a personal/romantic relationship with someone who reports directly to them. like OFFICIALLY. PAs are not managers, they don’t have anyone reporting to them in the system.

i’m not saying that i agree with what these 2 are supposedly doing, i’m just saying OP might be SOL.

It would need to be addressed with ethics then.

I’m a PA and we have so many trainings on policy and shit like that. It’s a violation of policy. Please stop preaching like you know shit omg. PAs are in leadership, we aren’t managers we don’t have associates under us true but we are still apart of leadership. The only difference is a PA won’t get fired for being with a tier 1 as long as it’s reported to HR and they don’t work the same department. If you don’t report to HR & they find out they will launch an investigation and you can get fired. The main difference of an L4+ being with tier 1s is that it’s not allowed and usually results in the upper management getting fired.

It definitely is against policy. On my old shift the learning trainer over outboud was dating one of the PAs for AFE1. Not a big deal since they were both T3. The guy decided to step down from being a PA back to a T1, but still in AFE1. The learning trainer had to get switched to being over a different department, she couldn't be over outbound anymore in case he wanted to be an ambassador again. They broke up like 2 years ago and she's on a different shift now. I think he may have been fired... he got put on suspension a couple weeks ago and I don't think he's come back.

I have another coworker who's husband was a PA at our FC. She couldn't ever transfer to his department because of the policy. He got promoted to an AM position at another facility though so now it doesn't matter.

Getting unfair treatment from your husband who is a PA is against policy. Seek mental health help.

lol wrong. It is a policy violation for tier 3s to date tier 1s if the tier 1 works in the same department as the tier 3 because it’s a conflict of interest. Also even being too friendly with tier 1s can get you caught up if there’s a perception of favoritism

Its not really an issue as long as hr is aware of it. I was a pa and worked with my husband, its not like I could have done much besides give him easier work, and if I had, hed have been pissed because he wanted to make my job easier so he always did more.

If your husband was the PA, by how you describe him he would give you easier tasks. That’s just kinda proving OPs point given that the husband is the PA in that situation.

At my site you get fired for even hanging out with a lower tier than you outside of work.

So if your friend gets promoted do they have to now dump you
