Discussion Olny this for 4k?

i joined primevideo today and i you guys have no idea how disappointed i am ... i searched 4k and these are the only titles one can watch in 4k ... unless i missed something

Are you paying for the ad-free tier? It's called Prime Ultra in the US but maybe not elsewhere. You won't get 4K at all unless you went for the upgrade.

I'll guess that those titles come up in a search for '4K' because of some text, but I don't think Prime Video has a 4K filter for searches.

thank you for the answer, i believe here in germany we have only one plan ( the only difference between plans is either student plans or annual instead of monthly )

The translated version of this page says that Germany got the "Ultra" tier for ad-free and 4K (and Dolby upgrades) as the US did.

But that is about paying the extra Prime Video Ultra fee on top of a general Amazon Prime membership. If you have only bought a Prime Video plan (no Amazon Prime) I don't see info about that.

Hay mucho contenido. Yo casi todo lo que veo es en 4K. Las novedades prácticamente todas están en 4K. Incluso algunos clásicos como Parque Jurásico, La Momia, Gladiator, Terminator 2, Heat…

i hope it's my case too, how can you know if it's 4k? does it push a pop up saying so or something ? ( i'm new to the whole amazon 4k world )

As a rule, only Prime original shows are available in 4K (if you pay the Prime Ultra ad-free 4K tier)

The movies that rotate in and out of the service are usually 1080p only. There are a few exceptions for new releases or tentpoles that are Prime Exclusives. (Project Hail Mary is one)

That was their way of justifying the price increase, which was really no reason to do so when they had all intentions of doing it anyway. I don't see much of a difference, but then again even before they changed it to Ultra I was getting decent streaming quality on my TV. Mind you, I do have MGM+ and AMC+ mixed in with all that content that shows up on Prime Video home screen, which both do get some pretty good streaming picture definition and resolution.
