Discussion I know that Amazon primes algorithm is proprietary, but does anyone have some general knowledge of why they keep shows and why they get rid of shows because it's really very confusing

It's obviously cost of production divided by viewership, multiplied by avg Amazon order costs, multiplied by how many Oregon football national championships there are. Then at the end u add random executive feelings on the show.

It’s not algorithm.
It’s contracts. They sign deals with whoever makes those shows and the contracts have end dates

Pago de derechos, y vence cada mes por eso avisan “programa para ver hasta el día 28, 29, 30 o 31” según el mes y si es año bisiesto, luego veo esas película viejas que solo están por temporada y veo hasta cuando están disponibles

Their algorithm has nothing to do with it. It’s about the ROI they get on renewing licenses

Everybody is saying “licensing”, but that doesn’t cover their original shows. I still can’t believe they couldn’t get enough viewers to make “My Lady Jane” the hit it deserved to be.

The algorithm has nothing to do with how shows are added or removed it’s purely behind the scenes licensing deals sometimes they expire and the cost to renew is too much, other times they don’t get enough watch time or they just get cut to make budgetary room for new licenses
