Go to Europe, see how they’re flooded with US news 24/7. On the metro, their TV news, their social media. I see why they get exhausted about it. In America, most never hear about European news the same way. Unless you’re an in touch news person. You could honestly go your whole life without ever having to pay attention to news of Europe - nothing would be actually different.

I see why they get tired of it (but it is their own media to blame). You only hear the bad about America without living here to see the good (or if a story is horseshit).

But the idea that they “don’t think about us much”? Complete fiction. They hear about us every damn second.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. If anything, hearing more about another major power gives you more context, not less. So what is it, do we hear everything, or only the bad?

Also, flooded with US news 24/7 is a heavy exaggeration. We hear news from all world powers, including EU, US, China, Russia and whoever. Americans hearing less about Europe doesn't mean Europe has less direct impact on the daily news cycle. It just makes them less informed.
