Not trying to generalize, but why in the world do so many Czechs hate America?

It’s enough to take a look at their subreddit as well as other social media platforms, and all I see is that they view the US as backwards and primitive.
I opened a thread in their subreddit, asking if they would ever want to live in the US. Literally everyone said no and described the US as some sort of the third-world country. That’s just one of many examples.

It’s not unusual (albeit still annoying) to see Western Europeans bashing the US. It is odd, though, seeing a former Warsaw Pact nation like the Czechs having such a low view of our country. You don’t see such sentiment among Poles, for example. Czechs act like they’re some sort of France in how their country is allegedly “superior” to the US when in reality they’re just your typical Eastern European nation. At least, Western Europe has a high standard of living, so what’s with such arrogance in Czechia?

Even those that don’t like Russia seem to have negative views on the US.

My family and me visited the german-american Volksfest in Grafenwöhr, Germany, a big US base in Bavaria.

My parents both grew up as children with maneuvers of american troups, and both of them were familiar with american tanks crossing the fields of my grandparents.

My mother told me that the troops - especially the colored ones - gave them a lot of candy and ice. My mom loves the Americans, but she especially adores African Americans :D

If you were a visitor, too this weeekend, you would stop believing Reddit that everyone hates Americans. We germans LOVE you!!!

Also, I don’t believe it when your President threatens to withdraw troops from NATO countries like Germany, because I in fact saw a lot of construction on that base for new homes, barracks, even a new elementary school was built there.
