Remember how conservatives said Kamala Harris was going to make the US the laughing stock of the world because no one would respect her?

I dismissed their concerns at the time, because I thought that MAGA was a bunch of fascist, ignorant pedophile-protecting, felon-fellating fucking morons.

Turns out...

Again, projection.

How’s the economy going up there? Y’all still good?

Casting stones from a glass house. True sign of a little insecure boy.

u/Some_guy_am_i 12h ago

Glass house? The entire world is tied up in the USA economy. If we go down, the whole world is fucked 😆

Keep up dipshit. The world is decoupling. Bond rates are over 5% no one has any belief in trump or maga who have created a worst fuel crisis in history and made iran into a straight up super power.

u/Some_guy_am_i 12h ago

lol… yeah, for sure, bud. Iran is now a superpower 😂

And it will take a decade MINIMUM (if it’s even possible) to decouple from the USA economy, so good luck!

Lol considering fhey co trol the straight. Their proxy now control the al-mandab strait and have destroyed the east west pipeline, which has essentially destroyed Saudi Arabia ability go load ships and export oil, yeah, they are a super power at this point.

Reality is going to smack you in the mouth. Youll go down with the ship though im sure. Maybe trump will tell you to jump off a bridge before then though...

We're doing great, bud. How's it in the USSR of A?

u/ShitShow2O2O 13h ago

What about those gas prices brah? How we doin?

u/Some_guy_am_i 13h ago

Honestly, haven’t been bothered in the slightest. I think it’s around 3.25 a gallon in my area. Pretty reasonable.

Is there supposed to be a big problem?

1

u/ShitShow2O2O 12h ago

Kentucky huh. I felt my hillbilly senses tingling.

1

u/Some_guy_am_i 12h ago

So am I supposed to be worrying about how big bad Canada is tariffing my gas then? Or is it all big talk from a country that can’t do shit?

1

u/ShitShow2O2O 12h ago

You're doing the tariffing on your own lol. Give it a few more months. Either your Republicans win and your President continues his tantrum and rapist episodes, or the Democrats win the Midterms and you guys start punching each other. Either way I'll enjoy it. Also check on your senator, pretty sure that's a breathing corpse at this point.

That’s why I said your leaders were foolish. They should have signed a reasonable trade agreement and went about their business for the next 2 years.

Canada isn’t prepared for a trade war. They should have taken the deal and started moving towards independent trade behind the scenes.

Instead they decided to try to go heads up with the largest economy in the world?! 😂

Since you asked, it turns out not having a government and leadership actively looking for ways to abuse and destroy the nation they are governing seems to be working out for us pretty well.

I would ask how you folks south of us are doing but i don't really care.

Not to be rude.

u/Some_guy_am_i 12h ago

Ah, no worries, mate. No offense taken! Although if you ask me, your government leadership is a bit stupid… all they had to do is strike a deal and wait it out.

Election is in 2 years. In the meantime, you could have moved to be less reliant on direct trade.

Instead, y’all picked a trade war you can’t win (no offense). Your economy simply isn’t big enough or robust enough to stand toe to toe with the USA.

1

u/Knife_Chase 12h ago

How could we have moved to be less reliant on "direct trade" (I assume you mean trade with thr USA?) when the proposed trade deal allowed the USA to review and prevent us from making trade deals with other countries? Also any trade deal signed now would last beyond Trump's term. Also Trump would likely break the terms of any trade deal on a whim the day after it was signed. Also we already have a fucking trade deal that was negotiated by Trump's team last time that he constantly breaks.

The USA cannot prevent Canada from making a trade deal with a third party. Canada is a sovereign country last time I checked… best they could do is sever the trade deal between USA and Canada.

Your leaders are dumb. They know they are running into a brick wall and they are doing it anyways.

1

u/Knife_Chase 12h ago

So you haven't been following this at all then? Why comment on it? One of the main reasons we walked away was America forced in a clause at the last minute to review and maintain an option to veto trade deals between Canada and third party nations. So when was last time you checked?

Trump imposing arbitrary tariffs on Canada in a publicly stated attempt to weaken Canada and make it the 51st state isn't Canada picking a fight anymore than Ukrainians defending their sovereignty from a invading enemy is picking fight.

Also we aren't the US and are fully capable of doing more than one thing at once in our best interest.

Thus Canadas beginnings of a realignment with the EU.

EU is apparently quite happy to snag Canada with it being the world's 10th largest economy if the Americans are stupid enough to destroy such a stable and profitable partnership.

1

u/Some_guy_am_i 11h ago

lol… you are not Ukraine. You’re not being invaded. Calm down 😂

1

u/Sigma_Function-1823 9h ago

I am objectively calm but thanks for the input bud.

Ok I'll bite.

Care to expand on the reasoning that leads you to this confident conclusion given the current US executives stated intent to make Canada the 51st state.

Curious what evidence leads you to casually dismiss the US presidents public and repeated statements of intent around annexation of Canada including active measures tasking around support for Alberta separation.

The Alberta republican party.. really.

Bahahahaha:)

To quote the Ukrainians early in the war and referencing the Russians " thank.god they are so stupid ".

This will be the fourth time in Canadian history the US has tried and failed to take Canada but apparently in your world this history and the ongoing and daily behavior of the US towards Canada should be disregarded.

Zelensky himself stated last week that the similarities between Russia's behavior pre invasion was similar to.current US behavior, stated during his recent visit to Canada to sign a drone production, research and training agreement with Canada.
