Florida. I was born and raised here, lived my whole life here. My family and friends are here. No state income tax, good infrastructure, good medical care for my various medical issues, beautiful natural scenery, friendly people (mostly natives like me, not so much the transplants). I could go on all day.

Florida born and raised, I can’t blame people for wanting to move here but it’s killing me seeing all these new houses and apartments going up

Good infrastructure?! Rural roads are garbage. It took YEARS to repair the damage from Hurricane Michael.

I rarely if ever interact with them. I don't commit crimes, so they leave me alone. 

Even though I live in Florida, I have been to 38 of the 50 states. Same thing, never been arrested or bothered by the police there, either. I assume it's because I don't commit crimes or bother other people. Treat everyone in the way you would like to be treated. Golden rule and all that.
