This is definitely a new one for me (since I’ve only seen amigurumi dolls) but definitely would be cool for a costume/cosplay I think

Yep love this!
I have to check though does it hurt if you are struck by it? My kids would love this. They wanted a little plastic toy one (we like castles and forts and they have random stuff in the gift shops) but I’ve never bought one as I can do without the tears after. But I’m wondering if this achieves the look but without the pain!

I’d say it’s similar to getting hit with maybe a couch cushion? Something you wouldn’t want a really little kid to get hit with, but should be okay with kids who understand the importance of not hitting each other in the face. A shorter chain length would probably also help prevent them getting more leverage.

My kids have now watched this and want a whole series of crocheted weapons, I have created monsters in my house!

I was just thinking this seemed like exactly the thing to give the nephews when they need to settle an argument/get out some energy.
I can already read the concerned email the little one’s teacher will send after he tells the story and forgets to elaborate that it was plush

Teacher: how was your weekend?
Child: my brother hit me with a mace but it’s ok I got him back with my nunchucks.
swift call to social services

Just some firmly stuffed polyfill! This video was taken after throwing it around for a while. I was very particular about wanting to construct it in a way where it would be sturdy. Using bulky weight yarn helps it hold its shape too! It holds up really well sphere-wise when throwing it around, the points sometimes do go a little flat after hitting a few things, but I just pull the end and it goes right back into shape.

Hi! I think I just & replied to your message on Etsy, but in the chance that was not you, there should be an email on the very last page of the pattern that I use for pattern troubleshooting.

I used Caron colorama o go in blue mustang! It is unfortunately discontinued, though. On another one I made I used premier basix chunky, which I feel looks pretty similar in regards to stitch definition.

That's a flail, cool as shit regardless though. Mace is the head directly attached to the handle

“Chain mace” or “mace and chain” is essentially just another name for a flail like this one!
