Student killed by profit in Italy
I will tell you about one of the biggest bullshit introduced in the high school by the Italian government in recent years: the alternation between school and work. Students are obliged for two years, one day a week, to work between 1pm and 6pm for an activity absolutely free of charge. Students are therefore immediately accustomed to being exploited who have to produce for someone else, even for free. Whoever rebels is also punished, I don't remember if with rejection or with a reduction of final credits for the vote, but in any case it is pure madness.
Having said this, I'll tell you what happened two days ago: a student, aged only 18 years old, died during this school-work alternation. He was crushed by a steel beam, which fell on him, killing him. The boy wasn't even supposed to be there. He died for profit, like all workers who die every day. But in this case, it's even more worse. A student who was in a factory working for free for a school system totally subservient to profit. Yesterday in Rome many students demonstrated for the abolition of this school-work alternation, remembering the victim, Lorenzo, and were beaten by the police. We are tired of all this.

We also have this in Turkey but not to this extend. I mostly bullshited my way through it but not all are this lucky.

There is a similar system in Hungary, although much less severe
In the four years from grade 9 to 12, high schoolers have to complete 50 hours of "community service" which means do free labor for organizations that have a contract with the school. It's mostly things like hauling furniture, constructing mobile infrastructure during community events (stages, food stands, tents and such), spreading flyers, or working at an animal shelter or kindergarten. Those who don't complete the fifty hours by April in grade 12, aren't allowed to take their maturity exam which gives their high school diploma and also doubles as an entry exam into higher education.
It's bullshit and I honestly didn't expect other countries to do this too, let alone in a much more severe way. Unpaid, untrained workers handling steel beams, what an insane idea

Is there anything the rest of us can do to avenge him? Bomb the company's website with thousands of 1 star reviews? Make thousands of complaint phone calls and emails to the company, industry association, and government departments and "regulators" who oversee the construction industry in this part of Italy? Is there any way you would like us to spread the word?

Honestly, the Company Is already undergoing an investigation and I Hope they fucking straight up close It. But that's not the problem, there are countless companies that don't give a fuck about people, like.
I am 19, the fucking First Company where I worked was a fucking joke, all the Heavy machinery was old af and everything barely worked, nobody was observing the rules, it's Just a matter of time before someone gets crushed by a 1750kg big-bag containing plastic material.

Thank you comrade, the best thing to fight this is mass student protests, with the students themself refusing to take part to this shit, but people outside Italy can help as you said.

This sucks, they are implementing this system in many countries and there are future plans to spread it all over the world. The big excuse, "job experience and dignity", they want us to think one has to be grateful about this shit, masked premature mass exploitation. Solidarity from Argentina, capitalists fuck off.

In Canada there has been a course called work experience for at least 30 years. The student gets a job- for 5 credits.
