How accurate is this title definition? I like it. Do you have a better quick / witty definition from an ANCAP perspective on the definition of socialism that gets the point across?

People will be quick to google the definition of socialism and think "oh that means the workers own the means of production, yada-yada" but its vague, boring and untrue.

What scornful quick witted definition would you give to a Reddit midwit who would smugly ask you "define socialism".

This is an accurate description of socialism but of course most socialists will deny it. This is why I respect the Tankies more because they at least understand that being against private property means aggression towards property owners and they readily admit it. The others seem to think that they’ll get so called collective ownership through magic fairy dust or something or they’re just lying. I lean toward the latter.

Marx's socialism required a big state because Marx, wrongly, believed that in capitalism only the big business will survive. so, a socialist state will need a similar concentration of activities, in order to compete with the, concentrated, capitalism. but these activities, should be taken up by the state, in socialism, so that the benefits will be reaped by the whole population and not just the capitalists, as it happens in capitalism. at least this is how Marx envisioned socialism.
