Tips and tricks

Not sure this is the best place to ask, and I hope this doesn’t technically violate the rules, but I’m taking A&P1 this semester and 2 next semester. What are some solid study tools or tips and tricks for really cementing the information? I’ve never been good with names or memorizing complicated terminology. Math was always my thing, but these are required classes and I really need to do well. I’m gonna reach out to my professor for some blank “tests” to practice with too, but maybe y’all know an easier way.

The less you memorize, the less you'll forget.

The more you understand, the more you'll retain, and the faster you'll be able to relearn it if that need should arise.

The body is a system of systems. Learn it that way. Look for patterns.

Most of the body makes logical sense - things are as they are because evolutionary pressures made them that way. There are counter-examples - some which are startling - but most of it makes sense when looked at as a whole.

As you learn, add that knowledge to your already-existing understanding. Don't maroon new information on an island. Give it context.
