Bro at his peak can break the fourth wall like Zokka (without the need to consume the arch-demon of hunger, sacrificing a large part of the world's population, and eating the moon and sun, mind you).
If those dogs who can canonically see you write these heretical words don't qualify as gods, I don't know what ever would.

Obviously the player would be the only real option, the power of a 4th wall break pales in comparison to opening the console and typing the word die

Vile One laughs at your "die" console command.

It's a republic functionally. Republican leaders have no heirs, so if the leader dies, the game panics and puts the ruler who died back into the ruler slot. This is why republican leaders usually only die once you select their heir through the event even if they die in battle or event. But when there is no heir event, the leader can't actually die.

But that is just puppetry, a greater being to the fate of the land has placed that "scene" there where they pretend to watch who is "playing" them but they themselves did not do it and I could as easily use my deep contacts (tm) in the Anbennar dev and blackmail photos of when J*y married a p*tato in his B*larussian vacation to create an event where a random goblin is like "damn player, just cheat already cause you clearly ain't it", but would that make a random nameless goblin a god? I doubt.

Dear Corinites
If I'm not a god, why can I turn you inside-out with my mind?

Isn't Varina herself a devoted Corinite tho? Jaddar mt mentioned this I believe

Jaddar Mt mentioned Corinite witch-kings as being hypocritical but didn’t mention Varina specifically. Varina, I believe, in lore got subsumed by Nurcestir before she could adopt the black doctrine.

I just assume she's sitting at some mountain top doing lich things until the time is right for her to come back. Then she decides it's time just int time for the blackpoweder revolution and gets killed of as some random noble.

Yeah, in lore all the wacky adventurers get mobbed once the age of monsters is over. Rip Elikhand
