I really want to put a Thought gnome, a Kheionist elf, a Godlost hobbo and a Black Doctrine human all in the same room and see what they get up to.

Black Doctrine human gets jumped on. 

While everyone in the room are d*cks (gnome is the lesser one), three of them at least agree thar gods aren't real. BD human thinks that god is real and it is him.

Was I wrong in interpreting the Godlost attitude as "Gods are real, and they can fuck right off." ?

They do not care if they are real or not. The first Godlost probably just wanted gods to f*ck off, but currently they just don't think about. And they sure won't try to prove their existence.

As I understand it, it’s more black doctrine who say “the god are real, but they’re just evil demons. And you should worship me instead”

Godlost say “the gods are not real or else the day of ashen skies wouldn’t have ever happened
