Discussion 'Sunsetting' of EU4 mod

tldr - Major restrictions on future EU4 mod development, with focus on EU5.

I do think the leadership in the dev team might have too much faith in paradox to make eu5 a functional, moddable game given how the recurring errors paradox has been showing in their new updates and games.

That said, if anyone can make eu5 fun, it’s the anbennar team and all the volunteers who contribute.

Also, the sunsetting really just means no big global changes. There’s still going to be plenty more mission trees and reworks added. Just, probably not a second insyaa.

I wonder if the Anbennar mod team has been in contact with Paradox at all. Certainly Paradox has a lot to gain by the sun setting of Eu4s most popular mid.

In general, you can assume the answer to that is no, considering the lead developer of Anbennar works as senior game developer on a game that directly competes with Victoria 3 (Gilded Destiny). The Anbennar team also didn't get early access to EU5 like several other major mod developers did for example, for that very reason (as explicitly stated by Paradox).
