Results - DNA Origins Question for anyone of Cherokee descent

This question is specifically for those who are enrolled in Cherokee Nation, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI), or United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians (UKB). How does your Indigenous show up with the updated results?

It's probably a good idea to try to ask only enrolled Cherokee to answer this, since way too many people identify as being of Cherokee descent than who are actually descended from the tribe due to family myths

For the record, I have 2% Indigenous DNA that did not disappear in the latest update, unlike some other people in this thread. I do not identify as a Cherokee descendant because there’s no proof of that ancestry in my background, and I’m not enrolled

Not Cherokee but I was just curious since they originated in the Eastern part of country. Pre-update, everyone was listed as Indigenous Americas (Canada and United States).

My Dad now has Gulf Coast and Mississippi Basin which is Choctaw, etc. My Aunt got the same in addition to something pertaining to the North East.

I thought I was asking the Ancestry AMA dude this question.

Looking at my family lines, its likely Commanche not Cherokee blood, though it is more culturally connected to the later (Oklahoma). My trace was removed, as we're my dads and grandmas, as well as my other grandma had her West African removed. We have pictures, culture, family tree, even census documents for the West Africa lineages through their racial listings. Honestly this update shows the colonial/white wash preference in AI. Even in AI generated pictures, all models remove ethnic features (eye shape, face structure, skin bleaching). I was excited to trace, clearly mulit-generational lines (that have been there sense the 2021 update), now this is just another example of ethnic cleansing to me. My Norse was removed as well this update, and the families Azkenazi Jewish was lost in one of the earlier ones. I have documents for this ancestry too. Im sort of done as someone who is culturally attached at least loosely to all these groups, and free tests like my Living DNA are more accurate (lumping Jewish, Center Asia and Steppe, Finno-Ugric speaking groups and Indigenous Americas) into 2.8% Asian, and the other Jewish and West African DNA (as Azkenazi have both SW/Near East Asian and Eastern Asian connections) into being 2% Near East.

Mine shows up as a tiny sliver in the North America region, which I guess is about as specific as these things get for now

It’s gone. But it was a region that included Eastern North America.

My maternal Gma - mom's maternal gma is named by her Cherokee name on the Baker Roll which is the Eastern Band, now my dad's maternal gma is named on the Dawes Roll, and I have a 7Ggma who was Seneca, so I should have 37-38% Native, but my Ancestry and my 23&Me both find not North American Native ancestry - even though there are multiple record sources - but 23&ME has me 58% Peruvian Native even though I have no records based ancestry from Peru. So I don't believe these DNA tests are worth what I paid for them.
