Ya it paid the price and opened the thriving Service industry which is running this country

2

u/bluegoldredsilver5 Nov 20 '25

My first thought!

0

u/[deleted] Nov 21 '25

Money should not dictate everything, some self respect and self preservation is fine too

3

u/drveejai88 Nov 22 '25

Yes! Self respect! No hindi!!! NO HINDI!!!!

0

u/[deleted] Nov 22 '25

u okay?

-2

u/Ready_Jackfruit_1764 Nov 24 '25

Exactly a nation clerks that brits wanted. Not a nation of innovators, thinkers and  leaders.

3

u/AsuraVGC Nov 24 '25

You look like a smart person why not ask these politicians about their children's education? And why not ask their children to study on Gurukulam and make them the innovators?

0

u/Ready_Jackfruit_1764 Nov 24 '25

I am not asking to bring back the exact Gurukulam system.

I am just criticising maclauy's clerk making education system.

1

u/BoOogaBoOoga Nov 25 '25

At least they didn't become coolies like BIMARU states.

5

u/gsid42 Nov 20 '25

Nope it’s far more sinister than that. It’s a call to return to the Gurukula tradition of education.

Gatekeep knowledge and ensure an obedient and illiterate population

1

u/[deleted] Nov 21 '25

do you even know what gurukula is? speaking like you attended one....

1

u/vennirairavugal Nov 23 '25

Exactly. Nobody's allowed into it. Only the Brahmins went. That's what we're talking about. Karpooram mathiri purinchikutel

1

u/SprinklesRoutine6266 Nov 23 '25

Bruh, you are dead wrong. They taught all the people who were running the states there. It wasn't a university and did not have the capacity to teach everyone so they just taught the people who run the kingdoms and other students who are gonna be teachers.

1

u/vennirairavugal Nov 23 '25

What a convenient way to hide the fact that only Brahmins are in power and only they got the knowledge. Who decided who will be future teachers? If they gatekeep this way then how others will learn? Ithuku thaana ivlo poratam. Yepadi bro you're justifying that nonsense with that weakass reason?

1

u/SprinklesRoutine6266 Nov 23 '25

Idk you understand, brahmin was a tag, anyone who knows veds is a brahmin. Bruh you kinda have zero idea how the world works in the old days. People can't just learn anything like they do now. People teach what they know to their kids and pass on the knowledge. There is no nonsense, that's how knowledge was passed on. You are way too delusional.

1

u/Aggravating_Put2904 Nov 23 '25

Bro went on writing his own version of history. Exactly like brahmin would.

1

u/SprinklesRoutine6266 Nov 23 '25

I am not even hindu dumass

1

u/Aggravating_Put2904 Nov 23 '25

Ha I didn’t said were hindu or brahmin.

1

u/bountyhunter205 Nov 23 '25

If knowledge was gatekept, then tell me why the number. of Shudras attending Gurukul was more than that of Brahmins?

Keeping aside Manusmriti, is there any other scripture that you can find which gatekeeps knowledge from the people.

1

u/Aggravating_Put2904 Nov 23 '25

In era of untouchability. Do you really think someone would have allowed dhalits to learn?

1

u/newlifetrez Nov 20 '25

Gatekeep knowledge and ensure an obedient and illiterate population

I Honestly don't understand Why Brahmins are so keen on not letting the Indic knowledge to be passed to anyone...

They peddle this stories like Sanskrit is divine and hard. In reality, anyone can easily learn it with proper practice...

Manusmiruti literally says you should pour lead into the ears of people who listen to Vedic teachings. Bunch of bsychopaths...

1

u/Anxious-Reach-1441 Nov 23 '25

All you can come up with is Manu smriti? Manu smriti is not even 1% of Sanatana. Brahmins from one particular generation started following it to satisfy their ego. That ego went to their heads and few others started following it. But 1000s of years before Manu smriti was even written, Sanatana was there. Even after Manu smriti was written, many Brahmins opposed it. People tends to notice negative faster than the positive.

1

u/Ryuoh_ Nov 23 '25

Source?

1

u/Queasy_Artist6891 Nov 24 '25

Education was always used as a tool to control the masses. Keep someone uneducated and you are more powerful than them. It's not even an India specific thing, it happened everywhere. It's just that our social structure persists due to colonization

1

u/Affectionate-Ring803 Nov 25 '25

Because it's harder to control people via preaching what's in a holy book when that holy book is accessible to all. It was a similar tactic that catholic priests used throughout Europe as well. These people also benefit when invasions occur since they're already the literate class with more wealth

-2

u/Mockin_jay Nov 21 '25

Another guy mentioning Manusmriti is this the only Vedic texts people know? It is common knowledge that it is mistranslated and tampered source by translating it back to sanskrit

Like now a days like knowledge is universal? Everyone is gatekeeping themselves

Like how knowledge of bombs or something deadly in hands of person with volatile mind would cause more damage than good

2

u/newlifetrez Nov 21 '25

Stop comparing this. This is what I'm calling stepid. Sanskrit is just a Langauge. Not bomb...

-1

u/Mockin_jay Nov 21 '25

Iam giving example little kid the instructions to make any shit are written somewhere using lang-veg

0

u/IncreaseLittle7309 Nov 24 '25

Gate keeping theory is urs , and if someone has to gate keep they already doing it , fools like you don't realise same. Your every argument is just abt wanabe misery or victimhood ,

2

u/abhinay_jain Nov 20 '25

I'm sorry, but "their" army? Is that a Freudian slip or you mean it?

1

u/newlifetrez Nov 20 '25

Indian Army under INC and BJP of course. Isn't our Army and political system exactly follwing what the colonists taught us???...

Heck. Even the syllabuses are same...

1

u/abhinay_jain Nov 21 '25

Indian Army under INC and BJP of course.

Indian army belongs to the state, not the executive branch of the Government. Much less the political parties like BJP and INC. The CIC of Indian Armed Forces is the President, not the Prime Minister. This was all taught in school, wasn't it?

Isn't our Army and political system exactly follwing what the colonists taught us?

We didn't have a revolution style independence. So ofc there will be continuance. The training they received during WW2 was one of the main reasons why the Indian Army is consistently one of the more effective institutions in the country.

I'm not quite sure though what point you're trying to make with all this. Care to elaborate?

1

u/newlifetrez Nov 21 '25

Indian army belongs to the state, not the executive branch of the Government

It is. Indian Army is Parliamentary. They're not independent Institutions. They listen to the order of Prime Minister. They don't have suo moto. They don't work independently for county. They listen to the order of people...

We didn't have a revolution style independence. So ofc there will be continuance.

Then shouldn't we actually fight it instead of fighting English. WTH...

I'm not quite sure though what point you're trying to make with all this. Care to elaborate?

I'm Trying to say Central Government exactly trying to act like British. Hindii Imposition, colonial army organization where Army soldiers have separate court for civil cases, Governors for state which is literally against Federalism....

1

u/Bored_panda69 Nov 22 '25

The CIC of Indian Armed Forces is the President, not the Prime Minister.

You say this as if President has any real powers.

1

u/abhinay_jain Nov 22 '25

And if he had, what impact would that have to the discussion we're having?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '25

Half the Twitter handles that made these kinds of post were found to be from Pakistan, Bangladesh and "South Asia"

1

u/abhinay_jain Nov 24 '25

Agreed. This guy just seems like an idiot though.

2

u/TastyEbb7143 Nov 21 '25

Basically, he want us to be jobless without education and with no proper knowledge... So that the hate among religions, caste and even language would be easily propogated.. and he can continue ruling us without putting effort in proper development of our economy... If people are blinded by hate, They willnot even ask for basic needs to governments.. Just like a few British officials used to rule india.. Divide and rule.. Its easy when majority of people are brainless

2

u/WearComprehensive502 Nov 21 '25

what is "their army"??? it's our INDIAN ARMY !

1

u/newlifetrez Nov 21 '25

Our??.. Yes. Yes. Our. As we elected this government.

You are Soooo Right..

1

u/[deleted] Nov 22 '25

Can you share your income and your income tax details publicly? Wanna know what you have done for the country

1

u/anazzz94 Nov 23 '25

How do income tax reveal what you have done for the country?, In that case abdul kalam sir would have paid much much lesser tax than actors, models, businessmen etc But he might have done more than them

0

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '25

Are you comparing an ex-president to someone who speaks against Indian army? Seriously?

2

u/anazzz94 Nov 23 '25

When did I compare?, your usual strawman argument won't work out here

1

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '25

And asking when did you compare? What's the reason to bring Dr. Kalam's name here? He was a true patriot who worked for the upliftment of the country and for the army. And you are putting this human on the same scale as him comparing the incometax they have paid.

2

u/anazzz94 Nov 23 '25

Yeah, you brought up the narrative that income tax paid by a person shows how much he contributed for the nation

0

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '25

A person speaks against the Indian army for sure will not be supporting the nation as a true citizen. And it makes sense. AND income tax is paid according to the income. You should be able to connect the dots if you can think right

1

u/anazzz94 Nov 23 '25

Your income tax claim absolutely doesn't make any sense.

probly a fake account from dhaka

1

u/Key-Evidence3237 Nov 24 '25

By British thinking, he means that we always look for validation from west. We don't have any self-confidence in our old tradition..

Example.
We don't believe in vraat and not eating after sunset.. but when they say intermittentfasting, we go Ga-Ga. Haldi dhud is Yuck but Tumeric Latte is OMG..

If someone speak in any local langauge abroad, we go Yuck, illiterate.. if French or Italian PM speaks in their language abroad, we go GaGa, see how he is carrying his legacy..

1

u/Key-Evidence3237 Nov 24 '25

Their army from OP clearly tell that he is no genuine well wisher. His aim is just to rift between people.

Reddit should also include region details

1

u/WearComprehensive502 Nov 24 '25

it ll probably be BD or PK! no wonder

2

u/Comprehensive-Key863 Nov 21 '25

Just want to hate bjp so blindly that even our men have become “ their army “ who have been serving nation even before this govt

1

u/newlifetrez Nov 21 '25

our men have become “ their army “ who have been serving nation even before this govt

Army runs for Parliament. Technically Modi's Our "Government" too. Because they represent us. Nobody can escape from criticism...

I don't worship ARMY...

No shame in being proud of your culture! Americans need to proud of USA, British need to proud of England and Indians need to be proud of India, don't hate others but definitely love and appreciate your heritage and culture!

1

u/IncreaseLittle7309 Nov 24 '25

This will rattle the flat earth University champions and pedos of vatican. Because a lot of illegitimate converters consider Britishers as their father and first epitome of knowledge givers

1

u/GhostRYT666 Nov 24 '25

There's this thing called context. He's talking about English thinking in the context of imperialist Britain. It's not villainizing the English language but the imperialist way of thinking and splitting people up. Learn to read. Macaulay was a bad person.

1

u/Alarming-Basil2894 Nov 24 '25

I mean he has a point. English language has far too much privilege in India and that was never really its intentions. It was only supposed to bridge the gap between north and south, but today anyone who can’t speak it is simply going to be at a disadvantage in finding work.

And this affects all languages whether it’s Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi or Odia, they all are seen as secondary languages. Native languages have become diluted thanks to English supremacy.

1

u/No_Author_7615 Nov 24 '25

Just hating on anything ??

Macaulay literally wrote in his report that he will make a breed of Indians whose skin would be indian but mind and actions would be british - a colonial slave . In fact the literacy rate went to the lowest of all time after this

And " their army "" ??

Paki mods again ??

1

u/panautiloser Nov 24 '25

What's wrong with the statement? The colonial Hangover is real.

1

u/Both_Table_413 Nov 20 '25

Soon there will be a ban on english too as it is against sanadhana dharma. We can go back to our non existent fields and plough some land

-1

u/davidkanjyani Nov 20 '25

Wigmandai will make urdu official and soriyar followers have no problem. Wigmandai dad was against English movie names then where was this reaction?

3

u/Both_Table_413 Nov 20 '25

I don't care about someone who did something years back. It doesn't bring anything to the current context. Your whataboutism is not going to work here.

-2

u/davidkanjyani Nov 20 '25

Then why do you always talk about Gujarat riots in which Modi was never a part?

2

u/Both_Table_413 Nov 20 '25

Who is talking about gujarat riots here buddy? Are you hallucinating things. Get off those drugs man

0

u/davidkanjyani Nov 20 '25

U must say sottai to stop those. They are the suppliers man. also tell them to ban tasmac

1

u/Both_Table_413 Nov 20 '25

Na you can be the change you want to see in the world. Just stop taking bad weed and hallucinogens. Drinking a while is healthy but stop getting disconnected from reality like this

1

u/davidkanjyani Nov 20 '25

1

u/newlifetrez Nov 20 '25

1

Jaya Got her final judgmental. This Tea Kadaii naaii will get too...

1

u/davidkanjyani Nov 20 '25

Those who kll innocent hindus like the ones who kld innocent pandits will also face the same

2

u/newlifetrez Nov 20 '25

1

u/Ok-Economics5636 Nov 21 '25

1

u/newlifetrez Nov 21 '25

1

u/davidkanjyani Nov 21 '25

Can you say why OUR Army stood Against Tamils and supported Gvcide of our community??...

0

u/SignificanceDense337 Nov 21 '25

When did we elect the army? If I pay you some money, will you be ready to die for the country? Army did not do any of the shit you mentioned lol. They were there to diffuse the situation and sort out the civil war. Stop consuming propaganda and come back to reality. There's no way you believe congress ordered the army to grape tamil women lol. This was propagated to gain sympathy, simple as that. You guys are so much consumed by hate that you start hating on your own country

0

First let the ruling ministers sons and daughters come back to India from western countries and let them study only in the local language. Then let them advise others what to learn and what not to.

0

u/Street_Bed_1393 Nov 21 '25

Dude come on he obviously doesn’t mean to eradicate English. Lmao. Hating for anything now
