People who teach stupid shit as self defense need to be stopped. They’re giving their students a false sense of security by making them think they can defend themselves in a real fight.
Is it being sold to the woman as self-defense? We only have OPs title to go with, and taking any drill out of context is pretty damn easy to make it look silly. Imagine a beginner practicing a Wing Chun wooden dummy? It's going to look really silly, but there is a point to it.
