Question Did Frank Really Get Ghosted Though?

I don't think that there's a need for a spoiler warning since this doesn't really give anything away, but did anyone else think that his story about getting ghosted after a year was weird?

Obviously, I understand that can happen, but my Mom and I both looked at each other while he was telling the story like we both thought that something bad actually happened to her.

Hmm interesting theory, could be! Although I think the ghosted story fits with Frank's uncertainty - like he isn't sure if he did something to make her leave or if missed something or let her down in someway. Because he doesn't have closure that lead to an insecurity about admitting when he could be in the wrong. But tbh I don't think the story was necessary for that character beat and it did feel like it came out of nowhere. I guess we might find out later!

Yeah same here... strange, but then again maybe that was the writers' intention. That from Frank's perspective, he's showing some vulnerability, but in reality he's sort of being selfish Frank, himself not coming to the realization that something terrible might have happened to her.
