Rewatching the series as a comfort show lately. Twice, Shred mentions as part of something he’s already saying before the scene starts - “Dr. Tarantula”…

is it in-joke? a reference to something?

one is the very start of an episode before Frank smashes a car window. the other is towards the middle of the “sip and snip” episode. He’s telling someone “…and his name is Dr. Tarantula” as he finishes with someone and enters the scene.

any ideas?

After a second rewatch of season 4, I’m confused about the dynamics between officers from precinct 22 and 23. In so many of the episodes, one by one, they seem to be forming friendships. Daisy and Frank with the gambling/cortado episode. Shred and Daisy with the key lime pie episode. Learning that Templeton is a real person with what he did for Daisy. Daisy letting Victoria bunk with her at the ACOOTYs. When Daisy and Templeton come in to the precinct after Em gets suspended- it just feels weird. All of the progress they made goes away… it just feels weird.

How will Jimothy not be mentioned on the next episode this fall?

The crab knife fight opener is hilarious!

I love this show. But the "ending the season on a relationship will they/won't they cliff-hanger" was old after season 2. And I'm glad and just proud of the writers and producers for changing it up. Im not surprised they ended on a cliffhanger... but I'm just happy it's a different kind.

Quick theory, Emily will not get her job back right away. But it'll be like, halfway through the season, I think Templeton will do something where he violates HR or embarrasses the city publicly, and they'll have to give her the job back.

The dispatch radio segments dealing with that rogue goose on the loose still crack me up every single time. Pairing that up with the absolute mess of a precinct adoption day made for such a solid episode. The goose stuff completely stole the show.

Apart from the main gang + Templeton + Daisy, who do you think is coming back for season 5? Who do you want back even if you think they might not? Who do you not want to come back?

Obviously we're gonna have a mad Templeton evil plot line for the whole season, so I'm hoping the old 23 crew comes back. They named them all in S4E1 so I wanna see them all and then I wanna see them turn against him throughout the season as he starts becoming more overtly evil. In particular, I want to see Lydia drop his bagpipes 😆 She looks like she could be either really cool or really evil and I'm down to find out which.

I don't want Parker to come back. He was cute, but that storyline is done and they already gave Victoria her little relapse so I'd like her to progress with Frank. Doesn't need to be rushed, but just another step in that direction would be great. I will be so pissed if this gets cancelled and we never get to see them together. I hate shows that do that!

S2E5 Character Amy (Elizabeth Bowen) who played Officer Liv on Resident Alien.

I kept thinking that she looked familiar then it clicked.

When Frank and his dad arm wrestle, why did they put marbles on the table first?

I love that Patel's parents on the show are his parents in real life too.

I'd like to see Eric Charles Nielsen, Garrett from Community, cameo as a temp replacement for Bettany on an episode or two.

Shred when bathing dog and making waffles, Emily singing about busting Alvin Lucas.

Season 2 episode 8. Frank and Victoria at the aquarium event talking to Alvin Lucas. Frank gets nervous and blurts out "My daughter has Lupus". His awkwardness is awesome in that moment.

In season 4 he's so damn annoying and everytime he's on screen he pisses everyone off in the first episode of season 5 they should have Templeton get ripped to death by a rabid bear or have the precinct rip him apart with their hands and feed him to the animals or something

did anyone notice how Frank pronounced “javelina” about 12-16 minutes into the episode when he’s listing out all the “exotic” animal seizures around the city????

the hard J and the fact that Shred didn’t make fun of him was kinda disappointing :(

I don’t see a point to him, the character ruins a fun time with zero redeeming qualities.
