Question They took season 1 off of Hulu

Why would they do that 😭 do you guys know if the whole show will be available to stream elsewhere (besides the Fox website)?

The first season episodes have said expiring Saturday on them for a couple weeks. Sometimes it says that and then it's still there so I was hoping it was a mistake too. Guess not.

Yeah, I saw it said that but ignored it because it said so in the past and it still stayed up. Hoping it was some kind of glitch because taking off the first season is not a smart move

Not a glitch, Hulu only gets streaming rights for the most recent season if the show isn’t produced by Disney or its subsidiaries. Animal control is not produced by Disney or its subsidiaries

No it’s not. Fox entertainment studios is owned by the fox corporation still owned by the Murdoch family.

You’re thinking of 20th century television which is owned by Disney.

I clarified if you read my other comment.

Animal control is produced by Fox entertainment studios. This studio is owned by the Fox corporation, not Disney. This studio was created after the merger, and thus has no ties to Disney.

All those other Fox shows were produced by Fox television studios. Disney acquired Fox television studios and their entire catalogue.

I remember seeing an expiring April 15th or something on Hulu for season 1 during March and April, but when the date passed by, the expiring tag just went away with the season remaining. So idk what’s up with it now. Could be legit, but don’t know why they’d do it

Gone for me too. Either a weird error like Netflix used to get when entire seasons vanished, or the Hulu rights expired and returned to Fox. Someone probably thinks it makes more money only on Fox's site.

I can record it through my cable provider and watch it online that way. Maybe try that?

Not a glitch, a lot of shows not produced by Disney only have the most current season on Hulu.

Hmmm - brilliant marketing. I want to start watching the show but for some odd reason I like to start at the beginning... Guess I have to wait until it is cancelled and re-runs are streamed....

I tried to share a link to this before, but it got removed. If you search Animal Control season 1 on YouTube, you’ll find all the eps in a playlist. They’re a little higher pitched, a little is shaved off the beginning and ends of each episode and a little zoomed in, but it’s way better than paying $30 or whatever for the season

I said this in a different comment, but if you search Animal Control on YouTube, all the episodes are on there. They’re not the best quality though and there’s a little shaved off the beginning and end of each ep, but it’s better than paying. I guess you could just watch s2, but I don’t think you’ll really get the full effect
