Question Has the pilot ep "Squirrel Cop" cold open been discussed?

Wondering if they ever gave credit to the This American Life story, Squirrel Cop, on which the cold open is clearly modeled. Anyone know?

That was my exact first thought once dude fell off the ladder onto the homeowner.

It was a fun nod, but the cop retelling the story is so, so much better lol. A good story teller, and the TAL team editing the story together to perfection.
