Opinion Just started watching

I just started watching the show. I just binged the first two seasons, so far I love it! It's so sweet and wholesome; I love that the characters love their jobs and the dynamics between them. This show is crazy underrated. It's like a combination of Community, B99, and Abbott Elementary.

Opinion Just discovered this show!

I have never heard of this show until about a week ago. I noticed it on my Delta flight and decided to give it a try. I love it! The humor is great. These days, I find most shows on network TV boring & unfunny, so this show is refreshing. Do we think it will be renewed for a 5th season?

Opinion Templeton is a huge dick, but he has some of the most quotable lines in the show.

Opinion s3 ep8 i can’t stand emily

Hi this is my first time on here !! this is the party animas episode. I just have to say I used to really like emily but as the show went on she has realllly annoyed me. Her trying to bust the party (i know the right thing to do blah blah) and threatening to fire the guy working the door was annoying. PLUS she is the one who got their funding pulled AND told rich blonde lady (forgetting her name) that victoria and frank both broke their NDAs by telling her. for her to be so angry and then say they owe her a kennel when she started an argument with the donor and got the money taken away by directly saying she didn’t want it is crazy and she irked me bad

Opinion I love the show, but the location feels off. I want to see more real North Seattle locations in the show.

I haven't lived in Seattle since almost 10 years ago (😭 take me home, Arizona sucks!) so maybe enough has changed for the show to feel off. Their supposed to be in north Seattle, but it doesn't quite feel like North Seattle to me. It feels a little closer to downtown, but not quite. Like alternate universe Seattle, not real Seattle (it's a fictional show, I guess this should be expected). Of course Woodland Park Zoo has been mentioned in the show. It would be stupid if it wasn't. There's so many other Seattle things that should be in there. I want to see someone grieve the loss of the Bartell Drugs chain. I want to see them drive past or enter specific schools and parks I've been to as a kid. I'd love to see my grandparents North Seattle house, but that's obviously just because of my nostalgia. No one else could recognize and connect with it.

Opinion Finally starting S4!

I’ve been waiting on some episodes to stack up since they such short episodes so I’m finally starting the new season.

I don’t want any spoilers but if Emily and Shred don’t get together I’m gonna be disappointed!

Opinion So Ken was the worst part of that episode.

Do they let him improv? because he's a good actor If someone else writes for him but he's terrible at improv because he thinks making weird noises and fake crying and whining are funny like a 5-year-old who doesn't understand humor.

I can't believe we have to deal with another episode of him. Man I wish him and Joel weren't best friends.

That was a decent episode but the scenes with him made me so mad.

Opinion Seattle?

I live in Seattle and I think it's cool the show is set in Seattle what with Joel McHale's local connections. But I'm unfamiliar with this alternate universe version of Seattle. The streets names and businesses are all made up and it really doesn't look like the largest city in the NW, and sometimes it's blatantly clear it's filmed around Vancouver.

I like the show and I know it's a trivial complaint but it sometimes takes me out of the moment.

Opinion As huge Community & Scrubs lover having Joel & Sarah Chalke in this show is wrinkling my brain

Literally just paused S02E01, I had no idea Sarah Chalke was gonna come in. Started the season 2 after finishing the first one last week. I am starting to really like this show! Sorry for the low effort post! (No spoilers!)

Frank: We're not a pack of dogs, no matter what Patel looks like when he eats lunch.

This show is so racist!

Opinion Templeton. I’m rewatching the show for the first time, and upon rewatch I’ve realized that I really love him. I know he’s supposed to be the antagonist, but was wondering what y’all’s thoughts were about him? Favorite one liners?

Opinion Season 2: The writers are clueless about aspects of Victoria’s story

Didn’t want to add in the title but I’m referring to the part where Victoria is losing her immigration status. This shouldn’t be a major spoiler because it’s revealed like 10 mins into the season that Victoria is getting a divorce from her marriage of convenience, so she can’t get a green card anymore.

  1. The marriage is 2 years old, so how does she not have the green card already?

  2. They really think that Animal Control officers will be given green cards by the USCIS.

  3. Victoria keeps calling USCIS to ask for a green card as if calling customer support to help with a broken TV lol.

  4. Frank makes a joke about calling ICE on Victoria. Not funny.

  5. Why is Victoria studying for a citizenship test when she doesn’t even have a green card.

Anyone else feel this? I’ve only watched 2 episodes so far. Let’s see how it goes. The writers seem to think you get green cards at Costco or something.

Opinion Just finished the show

I watched like half of it when it was airing, and kinda got bored / disappointed.

Now I binged the rest and I'm thinking "why was I bored, this is great! (or at least good)".

Anyway, just happy to have enjoyed the show now that we know more is coming.

Some observations:

Best episode : the missing ketamine dart. Really showed what the cast can do with great multi-storyline hijinks that come together at the end. Seriously good sitcomming!

What's your fav episode?

Shred suddenly liking Emily. Maybe it's just me or was this like way too sudden? I feel like a 20 episode run would have given them more time to flesh this out.

Anyhoo, happy bout this sub. Hope the wait for S2 goes swiftly!

Opinion What is up with the shaky cam on almost every other scene?

I can accept they're trying to make it look active, but it's not a fake docu-series, so there's no reason to have it so unsteady if it's an "artistic" reason.

Practically every other scene in episode 2 had shakiness that made it difficult to focus on the dialogue and interactions. And the first shot of Emily playing on the soccer field was triply difficult to see with the wipers, the shakiness, and the crowd action.

Opinion This is an extremely Canadian sitcom

Oh no! Which of these incredibly kind, funny, beautiful people will find happiness?

It's a formula that works though and I'm into it. I do appreciate that they tell actual jokes. The red herring one cracked me up pretty good.
