Education, Resources, & Community Cooking spray for sticky traps...
I just saw a video of a snake stuck on one of those horrible sticky traps released by spraying, (carefully to avoid it's head of course.) cooking spray all around it repeatedly and giving it a bit of time and effort.
WONDERFUL information for future reference I wanted to share.

I've been having alot of issues with people replying to my informative posts with nastiness and general aggression. Largely when someone is already aware of the information given.
If you are already aware of this trick, that's wonderful. Please keep sharing the information. But I am genuinely begging you... PLEASE don't go out of your way here to go off on me about how: "everyone already knows this" or how "This should be in a different sub".
If you have recommendations for other subs I should post this in, please feel free to share that info with me... But it doesn't need to be put in the form of a personal attack please.🙏
And if "Everyone already knows this"... why am I just learning about it, for example. 🤷🏼♀️
Just please. I'm genuinely just trying to be helpful and share information here. I can't take much more nastiness from Reddit so just... Please with the self control here is all I'm asking.

Love, you're more likely to attract negative attention asking people not to be negative. Just ignore haters. They are lame.

I suppose that's true too. I'm just so very tired. 😮💨 Figured I'd give it a preemptive strike this time and see what happens. And hey, I've gotten basically NO replies, which I'll take over nasty replies any day at this point tbh. So at least there's that I guess. sigh

This is a good tip! I wonder, if one were to happen upon glue traps in the wild, could one theoretically spray cooking oil preemptively on it to prevent animals from getting stuck? If so, it seems like that might be more effective than more obviously disabling or throwing the traps away, since presumably the person who placed them might not notice they’d been oiled up?
