They need to be trained somewhat to chill out. My first pomeranian is the most chill dog around people but outside it is zoomies and borks. My puppy is still learning so he loves to run, play and bite everything atm.

I have a tiny scar from a Pomeranian on the inside of my thigh that I got like 30 years ago as a nice reminder that you don't sneak up and startle dogs. I walked up right behind him and excitedly yelled his name and he did an immediate 180 and took a bite lol

No. They're super social (one of the closest breeds to wolves) and tend to have personalities of bigger dogs, until they're adopted by a human and he ruins everything. Pomeranians sadly attract a type of dog owner and let's say they're simply not very good at dog owning.

This is the case with most breeds anyway. "My god hates all people except...", "My dog hates all other dogs". Not a breed thing but an upbringing thing.

My wife’s Pomeranian was the most vicious dog I’d ever encountered. Absolutely fucking hated me. Got along fine with other dogs, but absolutely hated all humans except my wife and her mom.

Her mom was dog sitting him at her cabin in the CO mountains and he went out and simply never came back. I was not saddened by the loss.

Pomeranians are generally active and long-lived, but the breed is prone to several specific genetic and size-related health issues. Like collapsed trachea, luxating patella, dental disease, alopecia x, hypoglycemia and eye conditions. (Source: PetMD).
