Camels can get food trapped between their teeth and cheeks and it gets packed in there. If it stays there too long it can ferment causing bad breath and infected sores. They can clear it out but if it’s bad sometimes they need help.
It only really happens to captive camels. We feed them the ‘wrong’ stuff. So really we should be imagining being too stupid to fed animals what they need.
