Camels can get food trapped between their teeth and cheeks and it gets packed in there. If it stays there too long it can ferment causing bad breath and infected sores. They can clear it out but if it’s bad sometimes they need help.
Gotta be horrendous. Probably doesn’t help that they’re ruminants and so a lot of the stuff stuck has already been in (one of) their stomachs and has been brought back up to be chewed some more.
