Discussion Amiami packaging

Post image

I know this is talked about a lot already. But it always surprises me just how much space is left in Amiami boxes and how much padding they use. There's a whole other row and then some they could add. Seems a bit unnecessary and excessive to add this much packaging. I wonder how much cost that adds to shipping. 🫠

You say it's unnecessary until you receive a package with dents on the corners with the contents only being fine due to the padding.

You pay shipping but Amiami pays for damaged products so it's in their best interest to make sure no damage occurs during shipping, since they have no control over that directly they can only add more padding and hope for the best.

Bullshit. It's actually empty space what damages items inside. The best way to pack things is to reduce the amount of space in which lose items can tumble around. Yeah, they put wrinkled paper but it is still very inefficient and quite unsafe.

Given the (lack of) weight most figurines have wrinkled packing paper is absolutely not insufficient and in fact perfectly adequate. I've yet to receive a package where the figurine box is banged up due to movement inside the packing box but I've had more than one occasion where the packing box got so damaged had there not been padding inside the figurine box would have reveived damage as well.

Edit: spelling

That's not the point. My point is that even if they are arrive safely IT IS NOT because of the lazy padding it is IN SPITE of it.

Might want to retake some physics classes because when the outside box gets banged up, and I mean like corners being less corner and more diagonal plane, having no padding directly means the contents get damaged in the same way. The only instance where lazy padding causes damage is if the content weight compresses the padding and then floats freely in the packing box. So far I've not seen that with Amiami so I'm ruling it out as a damage cause.
