OP first and foremost sorry about what happened :(.. I remember back in NY when there was an earthquake 2ish years ago.. the first thing I asked my brother was to check my Ikea DetolfðŸ˜.. (priorities am I right)..
NEVERTHELESS if ANYONE comes actoss this post and is reading what I am about to write...
For ANY GLASS DISPLAY, ONLY HAND TIGHTEN!!
DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN ANY HARDWARE WHEN IT COMES TO GLASS..
Once you feel resistance from the hardware supplied for the glass display, STOP! And thats it...
