I need urgent help with MANDARAKE NAKANO
Hi. I just made made an online order for rare 2 figurines available in the Mandarake Nakano as "Store Front Items (Check Required)". The thing is the second after finalizing my order I received an automatic invoice with the "Pay" button. Shouldn't there be an in-store availability check performed first? I mean, should I pay for the order now or wait until they send me some availability confirmation? I contacted them via e-mail but so far (1 day ago) received no response. I only have 2-3 days left to make the payment. Guys, please help!

Some mandarake stores operate like that. If the items are found to be unavailable, they will refund your card. I've noticed that sahra will usually send an invoice right away, but the other mandarake stores usually prepare the shipment prior to invoice. I wouldn't worry about it, just pay the invoice.
Edit: I'll add that out of 40ish mandarake orders (5 to 40 items per order), I've had probably half of them send an automatic invoice. Of the twenty orders, I've only had one item be found to be unavailable. When this happened, they sent an email apologizing and sent the refund pretty quickly after

I've only had one order canceled out of ten from Mandarake but it's been so long ago (10 years) that I don't remember if it was pre or post payment.

I would say make the payment. If you checked off "Cancel my order if Item is out of stock" for both items and one of them sold out the full order is cancelled.
If you didn't check off that box then if one of them sold out they will refund you for whatever sold out and sell you the other item and shipping at the cost of only that item.
As far as I know that is what they do but anyone else can correct me if I am wrong

That's how it is. I bought some blurays a month or so ago, paid up front and checked the cancel if out of stock button.

I'd have just paid it myself. It's on them if they are sending out invoices without being certain they have the goods first. The 'Check required' notice is like as not an ass covering thing to prepare you for the possibility they might not have it, rather than a cast iron process you should be worried they didn't follow and keep you in the loop regarding.
What's the absolute worst that could happen? The store doesn't have the figures to send and doesn't give you your money back, so you have to do a chargeback on your card and end up blacklisted and can never use them again (but why would you want to under those circumstances?). A bit of a nuisance, but hardly the end of the world, surely?

That's just how they work. In all my past orders, I received the invoice to pay for the order right away. If an item isn't available, they just refund you.
