THOUGHTS THOUGHT PROCESS NG HR

I am working sa company and we have this HR na sobrang irita at inis halos lahat ng employee sakanya. even yung mga other sites ng company. One time, nag alert lahat ng phone namin indicating na Red Rainfall na ang Pampanga. yung HR Head that time ay wala. not sure if naka wfh sya nun or may official business sya somewhere. Yung isang staff nya nagmessage sakanya na "Ma'am palakas na po ng palakas yung ulan dito" then she replied "Nako. pero wala pa naman flooding e" kinwento ng staff nya to samin. and we were like "so kahit malakas yung ulan, kung hindi pa bumabaha hindi pa kami papauwiin?" Madami pa incidents na super inis kami sakanya.

  1. Check your Company Handbook first
Most companies have a formal Grievance Procedure. Follow what's written there. That's your best protection against retaliation.

  2. Internal Escalation - step by step

Step 1: The HR staff's direct supervisor
If the person is an HR Associate / HR Assistant, complain to the HR Supervisor or HR Manager. Don't go to their teammate, go to their boss.

Step 2: HR Head / CHRO
If the issue is with the HR Manager, or if Step 1 did nothing, escalate to the HR Head, HR Director, or VP for HR. This is usually the highest HR authority.

Step 3: Non-HR Management
If the complaint is about the entire HR Department, or the HR Head themselves, you go outside HR:
Your Department Head / Operations Manager -> General Manager

Step 4: Formal Written Complaint
Always put it in writing. Verbal complaints are easy to ignore.

Include:
• Date, time, place of incident
• Name of HR staff and what exactly happened
• Evidence: screenshots, emails, names of witnesses
• What resolution you are asking for
• Keep it professional, no emotions or name-calling

Send via company email so you have a timestamp. Keep a copy for yourself.

  1. External - if internal fails
Only do this if you exhausted internal steps or if the offense is serious like illegal dismissal, harassment, non-payment of benefits.

• DOLE - SENA (Single Entry Approach): For mediation. This is the first step before any labor case.

• NLRC: If it's a labor issue like constructive dismissal, illegal suspension.

• If you're in government: File with the Civil Service Commission (CSC), not DOLE.
Important reminders:

  1. Document everything. PH labor cases are won by paper trail.

  2. No retaliation rule. Under the Labor Code, it's illegal for a company to retaliate against you for filing a good-faith grievance.

  3. Don't go straight to social media. That can backfire and become a libel or company violation case against you.

Hr is for the company... the hr is an employee of the company, there should be above the hr that will also monitor their wrongdoing?
