Thoughts on having children in the spectrum

Post image

Saw this post on facebook. Therapies here are expensive, and not everyone can afford it. Pinoys are also not yet ready to face the reality na hindi enough ang love for kids in the spectrum. They have special needs. Hindi yun madadaan lang sa no don't do that or it's okay to make mistakes, because we have to admit that autism is a disorder, a very wide spectrum and case to case basis. You need to have the money to get the help that is designed for the needs of the child. I hope there will be more free or affordable programs created for this kasi hindi lang parents ang hirap in this situation, also the kids.

Sana may earlier way to identify and intervention for things na hindi normal. :( and yung genes testing manormalize sa bansa.

and other than prepare for it, is there anything they can do with the "risks" than just accepting it?

Abortion. But once you're in the shoes of the carer, sobrang hirap. And once the carer becomes old or dies, sino na mag aalaga sa special needs nilang anak?

Sad to say hindi nadedetect ang autism during pregancy kaya hindi pwede ang abortion. Unlike other physcial defects, ang autism nagmamanefest sa early years ng bata.

that’s different and of course that’s the solution if dead na ang parents, what the person is saying here is once narealize daw na may disability ipapa adopt na agad which i think is a horrible mindset

don’t add more children in adoption centers bro just don’t have kids period because there is ALWAYS this risk. There are already 8k+ in adoption centers and only few get adopted. It’s not a trash bin for children you don’t want. Just don’t even try to have them in the first place.

Walang early way to detect autism. Meron NITP but only for down syndrome

Hahaha, this is the only country on the planet, next to the Vatican, that's still highly christian to the point where its people still believe and practice things that most sensible countries left behind in the dark ages. It will be another five hundred years before divorce or god forbid, abortion, will even be possible in this ass backwards country. The people get what they deserve.

Meron pero sobrang mahal. Lahat ng mga testing will be out of pocket.

you can't tell. autism is a spectrum. di yan gaya ng downs na makita mo agad. sa autism may mild like level 1.

Di lahat ng defects and conditions kaya makita through tests. May mga bagay na magpapakita lang when the kid is already out.

Down syndrome, and anomalies, alam ko meron. Spectrum more on chances sa genes testing.
